Ok but... that's the last straw!

About Me

Where I am now in life: Currently a post-baccalaureate student at Cal State East Bay. Busting my ass in order to get into medical school. So far so good. I'll be applying this summer. Taking the MCAT in August (eep!). It will be a long, arduous journey, but well worth it. I'm excited about the possibilities the future holds.
Physically: Aside from what it says on the left hand side, average build, pale complexion, dark blonde hair.
I'm somewhat of a dichotomy. I'm a very driven person, determined to succeed in life, yet at the same time I'm really easy to get along with. I also may seem very together on the outside, yet I have quite a few insecurities on the inside, I won't lie. I can carry on a conversation on just about anything. I enjoy talking with dynamic people who offer fresh perspectives on various topics. Not even sure what the hell I'm doing here on myspace though. Honestly, most people here scare me haha, at least based on their profiles. But maybe there's some people out there I'd click with. It's those people I'd like to meet. If you think we'd click, by all means send me a message telling me something about you and if it seems like we might get along I'll add you to friends.

I'd like to meet:

No one in particular. Just anyone I would click with. Easy going, intelligent, down to earth people.

Music:

80's: Elton John, Cyndi Lauper, Crowded House, Duran Duran, A-ha, Tears for Fears, The Eagles, Heart, Dire Straits, The Police, Fleetwood Mac, Foreigner, Journey, Kansas, Billy Joel, Queen

Classic Rock: Led Zepplin, The Who, Eric Clapton, Boston

Movies:

Top 10:

The Matrix (original)
Lord of the Rings trilogy (counting as one)
Batman Begins
A History of Violence
The Grudge
Pulp Fiction
Office Space
V for Vendetta
Legend
X-Men 2

Television:

Hardly watch at all. TV sucks as a general rule. The only shows I really like are Family Guy and the Simpsons, but that's about it and I haven't seen those in months.

Books:

Don't really read books for fun anymore, though I used to read a ton. Kind of lost the patience for it. Too busy reading textbooks anyhow. I also read a lot of articles and op. ed. pieces. The Death Gate cycle books were the last books I've read - highly recommend.

Heroes:

Doctors, firefighters, *good* cops, teachers, peace corps members - people who dedicate their lives to helping others. That may be boring, but true. I have immense respect for these people.
