About Me

I'm a singer songwriter from Iowa and love to write music of various gegre. I've writen music from Euro metal to country, but mainly focus on Rock to Heavey Rock. I've started up 2 myspace sites. This one and my personal one www.myspace.com/huguenin This one is for my rock n roll self while my other one will be just me. Please feel free to browse either one. Now for the whole story... Born January 8th 1973 in Woonsocket Rhode Island. Sean was an only child to his parents Alan and Carol Huguenin. Sean had a lot of musical talent in his family, his father being a Trumpet Player and his mother a Pianist. At the age of 3 his parents went through a mutual divorce and Sean was to remain with his mother. Sean started his musical challenge at the age of 7 when he started taking guitar lessons from his cousin Mike, who Sean had looked up to as a musician. Later on at the age of 12 piano became an interest and at 13 joined a jazz choir in school. The dream of being a musician was getting stronger and stronger and his first brake came at the age of 15 when he moved to Maine to live with his father. A student at Thorton Academy in Saco, Maine. Sean met and formed with his first band. The band was known as “Shirak” and the music style was that of old Metallica and Megadeth. The band and memory was short lived as Sean moved back to Rhode Island to live with his grandparents for his Junior year of high school. Later that year he played for a band in Mass. known as “Staightaway” and spent the last year and a half playing cover and original glamour rock songs, which was very big in 90. After Graduation in 1991, Sean joined the U.S. Army Reserves and in 1994 The National Guard. In 1994 Sean formed a band with his hometown high school friends and the band was called “Legal Limit”, and it was there that all of Sean’s original ideas and music came to life. In 1995 a tape was recorded with these songs and held for a later time. Well that time never came and in 1996 Sean moved to Des Moines, Iowa and answered an add for a vocalist for the band “ Defyance” www.defyance.com Defyance took him to a level that he’s never been in his life as a musician, but with strong desire and determination, he was going to give it a shot. In 1997 he left Defyance for personal reasons and left behind, great memories and friends. The last call came in 1998, when he answered an add for a guitarist vocalist for a cover classic rock top 40’s band. It was right up his alley and the band blended well together and played nonstop for 5 years till 2003. After the retirement of Later Daze, Sean went into the studio with former band mates from Defyance along with Bassist Joel Andres of “Can of Worms & Rabbit Punch” and recorded his solo cd “All Gone Wild” in 2003 and later hit the road in support of the Cd. Sean and Defyance member’s Doug Beary and Marcus Peterson decided to keep the fun going and formed “More Than This,” which had 2 very successful years of playing. Sean was called to Active Duty in Support of Iraqi Freedom and spend 12 months in Baghdad, Iraq. After returning, he decided to stop performing, but continue writing and recording original compositions. In 2006, the creation of the next CD “Where From Here,” has been started, but was soon put on hold when Sean's best friend Scott Carney was killed in Combat while fighting in Afghanistan. Sean then decided to release a Cd entiltled,"For You" with fellow musicians, Marcus Peterson, Doug Beary and Rob Haspels, which contained 5 personal songs dedicated to the men and women of the Armed Forces which is to be released in late April, early May. The continuation of "Where From Here" will resume sometime in Fall of 2008 and with this..a new chapter in sean's life. Besides music, Sean enjoys spending his free time with his two beautiful daughter’s Tristan and Kayla and with them the Great Outdoors. Sean is a very avid Bow Hunter and loves to Fish. He says, “it‘s just the way of life.” You can follow this site or my other site at www.seanhuguenin.com for further info. Rock-On! SH ..
