LATER DAZE

Originally formed in the early 1980's as DEFIANCE, this band performed hundreds of shows in the rough and tumble streets of Des Moines, Iowa which would many years later produce such bands as Slipknot and Stone Sour. Known by a devoted legion of fans DEFIANCE had a well known reputation for delivering straight forward Rock n Roll along with over the top stage antics and pyrotechnique displays that rivaled the likes of KISS. Opening for such major acts as Shooting Star and Head East helped reinforce the "live-hard" and "party-hard" reputation the band and it's following came to live by.After a brief hiatus the band re-formed in 1996 as LATER DAZE featuring original members Mike Spencer on drums and Brian Campbell on lead guitar. Rounding out the group was BJ Christo on keyboards and Martin Gay on bass.Soon after that Sean Huegenin joined for vocals and guitar and the band was on its way to 7 years of memorable performances higlighted by stops at the Indianola Balloon Classic, the Iowa State Fair, the Knoxville Nationals, 6 New Years Eve appearances as well as routine stops at Sudsuckers, Jhonny Macs, The Nest, Daytonas, Sportsmans, Ciretti's, The Thunderbird, Billy's Pizza, The Park Avenue Pub and many others.Sadly the band stopped performing live in late 2003.Fans and band members alike are still waiting / hoping for a reunion.
