About Me

Website: www.artofwarble.com
Michael "Warble" Finucane is part of the New Medieval Movement that utilizes a modern and abstract approach to medieval art concepts. He is influenced by Margaret MacDonald, Jan Toorop, Joseph Hoffman and others that represent medieval concepts of organic abstraction within a two-dimensional stylization. With a blend of geometric abstraction and an arcane medieval style application, Warble creates a fusion of innovative and original art for the 21st century.

My Interests

Freemasonry, Kabbalah, Albrecht Durer, Jan Toorop, Meditating, Rocknroll music, and oh shit, im naming all the things they want me to answer in the next categories...shit!

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet crazy people with new ideas about stuff. I totally dig people that know the difference between the herd and the fucking shephard--know thy self. However, being completely mindless and stupid is fun too! Without the zero there cannot be the one...

Music:

Guitar Wolf, Dead City Rockers, Iron Maiden, John Dowland, Yes, Madonna, any kind of stoner metal (even though I'm not a pothead), Samantha Fox, Grand Master Flash, Chuck Berry, and Howlin Wolf. Yeah, and rocknroll music! Multi-Ethnic Jazz--Trilok Gurtu and Rabih Abou-Khalil. Echo & The Bunnymen too!

Movies:

Wild Zero, Excalibur, Das Boot, any Eisenstein movies, Faust (silent movie), Phantasm 1 & 2, the Evil Dead movies (Go Ash!), Seven Samurias, Lone Cub and Wolf, and anything with Toshiro Mifune in it. Zatoichi lives!

Television:

TV Sucks.

Books:

Zanoni, Lord of the Rings, More's Utopia, Giordino Bruno and the Hermetic Tradition, Arwas (French Aesthetic in Art Nouveau), anything by Dylan Thomas, Wretched of the Earth, The Puzzle Palace, Japanese literature and art print books. Western art would be a bunch of shit without the Japanese and you know it.

Heroes:

Hermes Trismegistus, Roger Bacon, Richard Hell, Ficino, Guitar Wolf, anyone who has the courage to know the ritual and walk through it--you know who you are.
