MySpace is the internet equivalent of being able to attend your own funeral... ..Perhaps it was The Noid who should have avoided me...I guess it's time for yet another version of "About Me."
Let's see... I'm 33 and I live in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon with my three cats - Nancy, Kiki and Gracie. Nancy is 16 and we adopted Kiki and Gracie after we lost Nancy's brother Sid last year. We had a rough time after Sid died, but at 16 Nancy is amazingly healthy *knock wood*. Kiki and Gracie were both rescues. Kiki was rescued from a couple of evil, viscious raccoons when she was about 10 months old (she'll be two in September) and Gracie was found under a church with her kittens when she was about a year. Whatever happened to her in that year stunted her growth as well as her ability to form relationships - she was found on Nancy's (and Sid's) 15th birthday - which was estimated to be her birthday as well - she'll be two on July 21st. Sid was my problem child and I think he sent me another one to take his place! Gracie was largely feral and has been quite a challenge but there's nothing more rewarding than waking up to a purring cat in my face - the same cat who used to scratch and bite me as soon as look at me. We've come a long way. Kiki? Kiki runs the house. She may be the youngest, but she's our alpha cat. Having an alpha in the house keeps things from ever getting boring.
I'm getting ready to move cross-country. Mid-September I'll be moving to Boston, Mass (or some trendy suburb thereof - I'm thinking Chelsea). I love my home and I love my friends but I need a change - a big one - so I'm taking it. I may or may not like it - but it's one of those things that I know I just need to try.
I don't really have any hobbies these days except getting ready to move - unless you count my boyfriend's and my new obsession - Fantasy Island on On Demand. I did try to learn to crochet and I've got it - sort of - it just doesn't hold my attention very long. I guess I'm a little ADD in that respect.
You are
What Rejected Crayon Are You?
I love good conversation but it can be hard to keep up with me as I am queen of the non sequitur. There is no such thing as linear thinking with me. I can be an acquired taste and I've come to accept that not everyone is going to "get" me and I'm OK with that. I'm learning slowly but surely not to take life so seriously. I can find humor in just about anything and the ironies of life amuse me even though they often annoy me. I have just realized at this point in my life that everything happens for a reason - even the things that suck - and while we're waiting to find out what the reasons are, we should not be idly standing by but trying to have a little bit of fun in the process.
You Are A Margarita Martini
You are a full on partier, with a good deal of sass and spunk.
You're always friendly and welcoming - and very tolerant of obnoxious drunks.
You should never: Drink and dance. The pictures will be everywhere the next morning!
Your ideal party: Is loud, with good music and fun drinking games.
Your drinking soulmates: Those with a Dirty Martini personality
Your drinking rivals: Those with a Classic Martini personality What Flavor Martini Are You?
