“A Barber that Raps in the Music Industry who would think.†(Barber Q.) real name Marcques Tatum doesn’t only cut tapers, evens, and fades at the Barbershop. This young entrepreneur cuts hip hop tracks in the studio. Being a well known Barber and nicknamed Q he joined the two together and became Barber Q. Raised in the small town of Statesville North Carolina by his Grandparents. He began at the age of 13 spiting freestyles and writing rhymes as a hobby. He cut hair as a hustle to make money, latter turning it into his career graduating from barber school in Charlotte North Carolina. He shortly after moved to Greensboro North Carolina where he began his career as a well known Barber and local underground rap celebrity. In his rhymes he talks about his experiences in life such as his grind to success, night life, women, issues in the world, and what happens in the barbershop. Everybody knows Barber Q must have a lot to say. Looking up to people like Russel Simmons, Master P, Jermaine Dupri, Jay Z and Puff Daddy he felt the thirst of being a rapper with his own record label and merchandise to franchise.
