While being a part of the RALPH LAUREN Family…The Revolutionary social entrepreneur that I am makes his mark (I love talking in third person-lol)….With his own signature T-Shirt line (The first to have a Graffiti printed item with RL’s American lifestyle –cant forget urban baby!) ….that was seen at the Herald Square outdoor window display for about a week…a few magazine ads and sold out shirts that generated lots of money to go to charity!!!!!!!!! ONLINE… ADS…. I even saw someone wearing one in MEXICO when I was in the airport! I want to send a big shout out to my dude RALPHY for believing in the vision I brought the new urban to POLO… Established a new connection and bridge for new possibilities… The irony in this connection is…if you know the vintage Divine Bradley-back when I was SHORTY-LO (Bed Stuy Whaddup!)…You would know that this is irony at its best work…I am an official LO head-That took it to whole next level of ROCKIN LO-lol..Shout out to ALL the LO heads across the globe-very big shout out to the LL crew The level im talking about is the new wave-SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP.. I founded a youth-led community organization called TEAM REVOLUTION when I was a tender ol 17 year old kid… A Non-Profit organization that I started and actually transformed my parents home into a community to give young people a place to be inspired, be led in positive direction and Educated about self to be what I like to call “Added Value†to your community… Didn’t ever Aspire to do this- but I felt that I needed to do something about the future for our young people-Since todays issues that affect are youth are increasing rapidly (Incarceration, Unemployment, Drop-outs, Drug abuse, Crime, Diseases, Poor Academics and financial literacy, basic survival skills in the world …etc and the list goes on and on…I didn’t have a plan at first-but my passion and will said –JUST DO IT….. And that is exactly what I did…I just jumped out the window for what I believed in…no road map-just will power and desire to see changes in our future….What I had was some wisdom… And a quote that I live by to the tee!...(no pun…but its written on the tee-shirt also!)…. I didn’t have a dollar and a dream-I had a mission statement and a reality!- if you still dreaming that means your sleeping-WAKE UP!!! Ok now back to the story…. While being over at polo I established a Fashion Business program that bridged young people from Team Revolutions L. E. A.D. program (Leadership Etiquette and Development-Shout out to ZAKI the BARBER !!!)-And we negotiated for our young people who had aspirations in fashion business to visit the POLO HQ’s and work with company execs and designers to learn the ins and outs of the #1 Fashion Empire in the world…And in return the staff volunteers there time-gives priceless wisdom and together we work on a FRESH limited edition clothing line to celebrate the union between two great forces-Team Revolution and POLO…. This is exactly what we did… Shirts were sold online…at POLO.com In Stores…. AND SOLD OUT IN LESS THAN A WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it the best part of it-was our organization got 100% of the proceeds from the sold items!..... IT WAS SUCH A HIT PROGRAM… That we went back in a year later and did a larger program that involved more young people-from our FELOWSHIP ACADEMY pilot class…. This time we designed and created the uniform limited edition TR /POLO jacket that would only be worn by TEAM REVOLUTION members… So when we are out on service-You will see this BRAND… Salute WHEN YOU SEE US –and show some love!!! Ralph Lauren loves the JACKET- the BRAND and what we represent-he knows the jacket can not be bought-it can only be earned….(he earned his….) I was even the first person to bring POLO to BROOKLYN- to do a PHOTO SHOOT Shout out to BIG REETY and SOC!!!!! RAHAN I see you man!..
CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP-CLAP! I am very proud of the work I have been involved in-and to be honest with you GIVING to others is the most selfish thing I could ever do-because when I GIVE to others-it actually makes my life wholesome, complete, happy and abundant! I LOVE THIS embarrassingly DOPE LIFE!!!!!!! The ups and the downs of it all! Trust me it isn’t easy, especially when a huge portion of the world-look at what I do as alien, because they are taught not to dive in to this type of living-its not cool enough-well……take a peek in over here, it doesn’t get no cooler than this….! Let me explain-I am very balanced and in fact I love the finer things in life-QUALITY OF LIFE is my thing…im a KING-hey why not….if you saw your self as Royalty (your natural organic state of being) you would celebrate this life the same way…POSITIVE! I am a sucker for luxury and Freshness!... YFF CEO (oh that’s my elite social group) From young I always loved Fancy things (i wanna thank silverspoon-fresh prince and for not having it like that..)suits-Spas-and cars are now my hobby!... Oh and speaking of Royalty-I have an annual event called the ROYAL BALL..where all of my fellow Royal folks come out and have fun in there splendor … Shout out to the QUEEN MELYSSA FORD for co-hosting last years BALL and my good Folks over at KING MAG for the support… Oh and did I mention that I am sucker for luxury (on the LO)…you gotta know me-to know me…lol Look at it from this angle- or paradigm…I am the P-DIDDY of Social Entrepreneurship lol….minus the proactive and pretty boy stuff….Just the person that is having fun at what he does, and making it really COOL to care for someone or your community! More like a KANYE type under all the arrogance- And louie V…More of the flashy revolutionary outspoken type….lol Notice how the shirt I came there with-ends up on Kanye for our photoshoot in KING mag!..lol This shoot was Fun-we were reenacting JAY Z’s Unplug album cover-and I was the ?uestlove Check it out!
Yeaaah, I know a few folks… It comes with the life…The acknowledgments, Famous Faces, special places , money all comes with success…HATE, ENVY, JEALOSY all of it…(Be on the look out for my blogs on here and at divinebradley.com) BUT I KEEP IT MOVING-those are all good indicators that I am on the right path… I meet a lot of folks and I keep focused on my path-and nothing can take me off my path-outside of me and of course you know….-other than that-im unstoppable…LADIES YOU CANT EVEN STOP ME!!!!! Lol Moo-Ha-ha-ha-ha!!!! And….. OOOH my famous signature point!...it sure does beat the classic gang sign fingermagiging that most people do in there photos!..lol well my point represents a lot- so when your seeing it (you being anyone from you- a young person , a hater, an adult, a stranger) its like “Im doing this for youâ€-or-“Here’s looking at you kidâ€-lo,nah-but its for the people!....â€I remind you of youâ€-point… Ok I feel as though I said enough and shared quite a story to give you a preface/disclaimer to my rabbit hole of endless possibilities. I am really down to earth –no really (I just went innnnnn on myspace…lol…) I am always down to do extraordinary things with extraordinary people. Zero tolerance fore mediocrity! LOVE TO STAY HEALTHY & FIT-No,Really-Raquet ball all day baby!!!!). I love urban art.. Especially when it is done as a community service with TEAM REVOLUTION-SWT!!!!!! OH I also forgot to mention that I was the 2007 GOLDEN BRICK AWARD winner see below for footage of the nationwide award show where I walked away with the top prize-voted by America-THANKS!
