With 60% of Asia’s population living in poverty , Rajat M. Nag, managing director general of the Manila-based development lender said, "the "glitz" of the continent's prosperous new hubs such as Shanghai and Jakarta, Indonesia, should not obscure the fact that large parts of the region still face poverty levels and social problems that rival sub-Saharan Africa."
I found my passion in life, and am so grateful to wake up everyday and do what I love. After visiting Vietnam and other parts of Asia, I, along with close friends, started a mission-driven organization that aims to reduce poverty in Asia -- Citizens for the World stands on two pillars: campaigns (to promote awareness) & fair and ethical trade (to spearhead the socially conscious lifestyle movement).
Currently, I am pursuing my dreams by starting an eco-friendly and socially-conscious fashion line .
We spend on average 4% (compared to 5% to 6% on health care) of our annual income on clothes. I believe in the marriage of green and ethical trade, and more importantly, that we can exercise our consumer influence by participating in the eco-friendly, socially-responsible, and anti-exploitation movement.
My perspectives:
I live life with one regret -- I should exercise more!
I believe that passivity is the greatest human flaw -- our voices and choices will make us movers-and-shakers of society.
I am anti-establishment, anti-fur, and anti-poverty.
I love my heavenly Father above, my humble dad & beautiful mom, my rebels-without-a-cause-(yet) brothers, my baby bird Kiwi & Sunny, and my great friends.
