BIO:Farms, Cornhusker football, and white people is all the average out-of-towner thinks Omaha, Nebraska has in it. Well, let me be the first to tell you that they're not even close. How about gangs, violence, drug-dealing, a nice club scene, beautiful women, and a whole lot of aspiring rappers. You can call it a small big city. It's one rapper in particular that stands out amongst the rest of the competition. 23-year old D-lo aka Low-P. He has a laid-back, versatile, street, and ear-catching flo, raspy voice and nice song writing skills.
Stepping foot onto the hip-hop scene in 02' he made his rapping debut on the LIV MUSIK compilation album. The song "Tell Dat Boy" which he featured on with Scrybe and Deuceman had fans wanting to hear more. In 2004 he put out a 18 track mixtape called It's Goin Down Vol.1. With songs like "Go D-lo" a remake of Lil Waynes "Go DJ", and "Hotel Motel" using TI's "Lets Get Away " track. He built a strong buzz around the city by selling his cds at malls, gas stations, doin shows, and word of mouth. He showcased his talent on two of Scrybes tracks on his Rehab album in 05' also. It wasn't until 06' that he put out It's Goin Down Vol.2 Everythings A Hustle. "It was worth the wait because it let people know I was still on my A-game".
In 2007 he's not just a rapper, he's a business man also. He has his own record label, and plans on getting his hands into a little bit of everything in the near future. Color Blind All I See Is Green is the name of his next project. Which is a mixtape with 5 original tracks on it. Then there will be his debut album Northside Ties Call The Southside Home. If he is consistent with his material and has the right promotion and marketing, "Can you say BIG MONEY"?
