I am Joseph William Crossley aka Uncle Joe , a name given to me by a Tazmanian at a Show in New Zealand. I am a welsh man with a love for music , people, and Creativity and from this have met some brilliant people , been to some amasing places and have been able to exprience and taste the world. From Chasing Whales with a Camera in a speedboat, to Surfing Islands with no names, and getting lost in the hills with my freinds this has to be some of the things in life I look for.Music for me has to be the saucy bit on the side. When I got a scholarship to my School in Wales for Playing the Cello after One year of event knowing what a cello was I soon realised that this was going to be a forthcomming part in My life.From people like Chet Baker, Dizzy, Miss Franklin, and Nina Simone playing a sound track to my summer as a kid in the Wet Rainny beach houses in Wales Jazz has always been one thing I Love. Freeform music like a fingerprint of the artists playing it, the style is always unique. From this Orchestras, Jazz Groups, Atari music production suits, and living in an amasing House whilst at university with a whole load of Music Tech students I developed my tastes and interests. I studyed Marine Biology cause I was in to it but when we opened a Club night in the local Club it town I suddenly found I had forgoten the DJs for the night.With a bag of CDs a few reccords, and some cans, we ran down to what would be my first set ever, infact my first Djing experience. Learning infront of 100 students, shitting myself say just play good tracks and the rest will fall into place. And it did but not with out the classic fuck ups / taking the playing track off/ running out / galloping ect .The Cello whent in the cupbord and Decks, a 303, old allen&heath mixer and a minidisk to record it became my tools.From Funk, House, Breaks, Drum n Bass, Nu Jazz, and broken beat the flavors of all intertwined would be what I was looking for. Making people Move, cheer, smile was great and I gave me a good feeling.Now We have a Music tour which will be touring all over the place and its a great way to learn, work, and realise those random ideas.One dream is to see the whole world, see all the colours, smell all the smells , meet the best people in the world, and be one of them.
