My name is Pancho. I was born August 28, 2004. The day I went to a pet shop my mom was visiting another bird she thought she was going to get. I straightened her out quickly. They wouldn't let me leave for a couple weeks, until they were sure I was eating real food, but she came to visit every day. I wouldn't have anything to do with anyone else so she knew she didn't have any options. I still won't have anything to do with anyone else. Except to bite the crap out of them when they think I might've changed my mind. That'll happen. I save all my kisses for my mom.I am a brilliant bird. Also a pretty bird - which I love to tell the world constantly - alternately with Pretty Girl and Mama's Pretty Girl. (My mom worries I might have issues if we ever find out I'm not a girl.) I call every name that ever gets called out around here. I answer "hello" when the phone rings, and if I'm bored I ring my bells and answer them too. The other night my mom forgot to close my door and as she walked by in the morning I hung upside down in the open door and said "hello!" to let her know. I am too cute for words. I tell her I love her all the time. Say to be gentle (think that might've been meant for me since it was always said as I've sunk my beak into flesh), and step up. Always have to tell those damned dogs to be QUIET. They never listen. So inconsiderate.I used to spend nice days out with a couple lovebirds, but since my mom decided to add to the flock I prefer staying in my cage alone - except for a cat or two. Buster lives on top of my cage and comes in when he can. I've had three cats in there at once since I have the warmest spot in the house, but they decided to remove a few of my feathers so they aren't supposed to visit.I used to fly to my mom where ever she was, but she kept putting me back in my cage when I did it so I usually stay there now unless I'm invited out. My wings aren't clipped because of the cats. My mom doesn't want me unable to get away from them if they forget who I am. Not that there is a lot of chance. I'm the one that hangs down and take swipes at them when they go by. heeheehee. All the dogs go to work with my mom, but she leaves me home because she is afraid it'll spoil me. She can't believe how good and patient I am when she's gone. I don't say much until I hear her come home, then I call for her. It's okay - I don't want to be around anyone else anyway! And there are too many doors and windows there. Other birds, ducks and chickens go there, but I'd enjoy my house.I'm so glad to hear from other birds. Thank you to all my new friends!
