Television:
- The Office -I've only really gotten into this show recently, and I've really only seen the American version. The few episodes I've seen of the British version were hilarious too.
- Scrubs -I've just recently gotten into this one too, but I always laugh out loud when I watch this show.
- ER
-I've been watching this show for what seems like forever.
- Law and Order -The original and SVU versions are great, and Criminal Intent is pretty good, but I don't catch it very often.
- Lost -Yeah, I joined the bandwagon, so what?
- The Simpsons -A classic American comedy, especially because it's animated.
- The Family Guy -Boo on Fox for canceling it; but way to go bringing it back from the dead.
- CSI -The original is the best, but Miami is pretty good. I rarely catch New York. It's the science lover in me that likes the show.
- Mythbusters -A great show and a must for any true nerd.
- Futurama -An awesome comedy, a brainier humor than Family Guy, but similar.
- Good Eats -A great cooking show that also explains the... wait for it... wait for it... yup, the science behind the cooking.
Books:
Just some of the books I've read. Reading is one of my favorite pastimes, so there are way too many books to mention. Here's a list of notable books.
- Most of Stephen King's books (I know the stuff is campy, but it's my guilty pleasure)
- Many of Roald Dahl's children books. I read them as a kid, and they're some of the books that I think caused me to love reading.
- The Secret House (I'm a science dork, 'nuff said)
- The Memory of Running (a pretty weird book, but really good)
- Uncle John's Bathroom Readers; great short term reads. A couple pages here, a couple of pages there. These books are filled with trivia, fun facts, crazy history stories, etc.
- Why Do Men Have Nipples?: Hundreds of Questions You'd Only Ask a Doctor after Your Third Martini (see my aforementioned affinity for scientific dorkiness)
Heroes:
- Chris Farley - Dave Attell - Alton Brown from Good Eats on the Food Network
