Roy Darke

Hey, I'm a Drum n Bass producer/DJ based in Wellington, New Zealand. I've been DJing for about 5 years, initially hosting a weekly dnb night at Valve Bar on Vivian St with friends The Upbeats for a few years, and playing various gigs around town. I've faired well in several dj battles, and have had radio shows on two Wellington radio stations. I play all sorts of styles (dnb, hip-hop, 80's(!), downbeat, etc) and I like mixing those styles into my sets, and having a blast behind the decks! (i've been known to go dance with the crowd between mixes - (cringe)) I also sing and play other things, and currently have a band called REMOTE - check www.myspace.com/remotenz. When I have a job, I work in the film industry - for Peter Jackson (oh shit, where did I drop that name? it must be here somewhere) mostly miniature model making, and motion control operation. I've been producing for around 3 years now, and things are getting better (so Jeremy tells me!) Look me up, I'm keen to exchange tunes!
