Their name can best be explained by fate. At any other time, any other place, or any other day, you could be anywhere else. But you..re not. You..re here, in the moment. Any Other Day lives in the moment. You..re only as good as your last song, so play hard or don..t show up at all. Well, these guys show up every night.The band formed six years ago under the name ..The Stevie J Band.. in recognition of front man and driving force Stephen Jakubaitis, with brother Matt and friend Adam Kent along side. Inspired by the blues, for the next few years they played the local bars to gain experience, and better themselves as musicians. Soon the sets started to fill with Rock music. It was then, that the Stevie J Band became Any Other Day. A new sound, and a new name to boot. Original music from the band was nothing new. However, it was now time to write some Rock material, while still incorporating their blues roots.In the beginning of 2004, the band began to record their first self .. titled album with local producer Arun Pal at Pal studios. After a long year, it was complete. The album demonstrates unique sounds and dynamics, yet still containing a solid Rock feel.Since then, the band has been playing clubs to promote their album. They have been featured twice in the Nu Music Nite series hosted by 102.1 The Edge at the Horse Shoe Tavern , and have appeared twice on y108..s ..Get Hammered... Other venues include; Stones Place, Revival Bar, the Drake Hotel and the Legendary Red Rooster Vintage Caf.. where the band recently record a live DVD.Any Other Day is currently writing new material for their follow .. up album.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
