...Trieste,... right in the middle of Europe,...A city laying on the Adriatic Sea, grown and gotten old by a troubled history as many others had. City of transit, a kind of bridge where every kind of everything passes through.It's a blowing wind town, city of dealers, dockers, charming women and bartenders.So what ?!...Is it or not one of the most interesting places where an artist should be born, raised up or what?! What about me, please allowed me to introduce myself..hope you guess my name...Paolo Serra, June 25th 1973. My story and my guitar...(hey kid, get your hands off my tobacco box!)....sorry! Musically grown following the U.S.RR SS (United States Rock and Roll Star System) start play guitar when I was 15 doing what I do. Me and my friends here, are involved in a Rock and Roll band, The GreenHouse Band.... My first journey through the United States started in '95 and has been very important for me (3 months by greyhound), funny experiences, situations and friends... One of them is Jeana, oh "J"...my favourite drama teacher, truth and fairness in person. She has been my first contact with U.S. people in that country givin'me a good impression and this message on a piece of paper she gave me when we split up that says: "keep on dreamin"... That's what I did and I'm still doing!When I got back to Italy, I started busking in city squares, tiny streets and subways in Trieste. ADVICE! I'm not a real busker, (they're really good!) it's just a kind of way to pick up some money to go on or meet people. Sometimes I've found other ways to make money...but this is not the right place to talk about it. Clubs and bars were my favourite situations for a solo version, my guitar, harp and voice. In '98, my second journey in the U.S. starts. But this time i choose the S.Francisco Bay area where I took a car for rent, driving up and down, here and there, givin' an eye on many places where singers and writers from the beat culture got inspired...GOOD STUFF, SPANISH BOY. Hey! this is for you Steve and Gio...thank you! In the spring of 2001 a couple of friends o'mine (that never and ever supposed to become some kind of musician in their life)decided to follow me playin' drums and bass. In the beginning it has been very hard for us to get into the scene together but we took it seriously and we keep on doing good. The GHB took part in some contest in Italy and even in Austria, but we are still of the idea that every kind of art, in particular music, is not a competition so...WHO'S NEXT!? SEPTEMBER 2005, the Ghb& is through!!! started recording new tracks, ....man at work!!
