I am here for Friends

About Me

Straight outta Brooklyn- its the original JZ. For those who know me better, Joe Smurf. I lead an uneventful life. Work in Midtown, NY during the day, sleep at night. Consume large quantities of beer in between. Spend a lot of time watching sports, sitting on the couch with my wife watching tv or movies, surfing the net when there's nothing to do at work. Speaking of work, I am in a company that installs and maintains Nortel telephone systems. We provide support and installation for law firms, hospitals, hotels, trading firms, investment companies, insurance, etc. Some of the sites that I have worked on inclued Warner Bros., DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Toys R Us, The U.N. Plaza Hotel, Columbia House, Cartier, The Daily Deal Newspaper, Star Ledger, V2 Records, The Helmsley Hotels, The W Hotels, and AOL/Time Warner. Have been doing this for over 5 years, and will soon be an expert on voice over IP technology. Me and my wife Jaclyn live in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, which is great for the occasional bar crawl. Also love beer pong (and any other drinking game for that matter) and darts. No kids as of yet, but maybe someday. I am also a World Trade Center survivor. I was on the 57th floor of Tower 1 on that unfortunate morning. Its a long story, but thats for another time. Recently I lost one of my very best friends - Tommy Wong. The "wu-gambino", or DJ Ryde as he was better known for lost the fight against Lupis that he battled his entire life. He will be missed by all, but I take comfort in knowing that my friend is no longer suffering.

My Interests

Smurf Site Check this out. Very interesting website. Not mine though. Can't take credit for it. Beer, baseball, beer, football, beer, bar hopping, beer, sleeping at work, beer, just hanging out, did I mention beer?

I'd like to meet:

My good friend Tommy. R.I.P. brother, and may you finally be at peace with no more pain. I know we will cross paths again someday.

Music:

All kinds, but mostly metal and alternative. I'm also a fan of old school rap, and not that Southern Gangstalicious shit either. Bunch of fuckin' no talent ass-clowns. They can suck my nuts. I mean early shit like Run DMC, LL Cool J, EPMD, Slick Rick, Rakim, and Public Enemy. Plus early 90's like Wu-Tang Clan, old Dr. Dre, Notorious BIG, Beastie Boys, Gravediggaz, Cypress Hill, old Jay-Z (cocksucker took my name!), and Naughty by Nature just to name a few.

Movies:

Anything but chick flicks. Unless its girl on girl if you know what I'm talking about...

Television:

Heroes, Lost and Dexter are my favorite shows. Lots of sports. Mets, Giants, Jets, NY Rangers

Books:

I can't read. My assistant is actually typing this all for me.

Heroes:

Satan, Darth Vader, Deez Nuts

Tommy Ryde

A moment of silence please for one of my very best friends - Tommy "Ryde" Wong. I have known Tommy since my early high school days, and it pains me to admit that as of last Thursday, he is no longer w...
