About Mercedes Mercedes is of Jamaican and Indian origins. Born in London, Mercedes grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark. As a trained dancer, she is now based in London and Los Angeles, while she finishes her debut album, due 2008. Mercedes has previously toured as a dancer with Shaggy and performed along side the UK's biggest recording artist Robbie Williams. She has also performed live at prestigious award shows such as The Brit Awards with Shaggy and with LL Cool J for his show-stopping performance at The MOBO Awards. She appeared in the world wide U2 'I-pod' commercial. More recently she performed at the 2007 MTV EMAs with Snoop Dogg and Will I AM. Mercedes has also appeared on the Silverscreen in Ali G's hilarious movie 'Ali G In Da House'. Further film credits include 'the hideous man', written and directed by John Malkovitch. Mercedes also featured as a dancer in the Bollywood movie 'Love and Betrayal' starring the Bollywood superstar Akshar Kumar. Mercedes stunning and unique looks have found her in demand as a model worldwide. She has appeared in campaigns across Europe and America for world-famous brands such as Fiorucci, Vivien Westwood, Harvey Nichols, Wolford, Diesel and Nike. 2008 sees the launch of Mercedes music career. She has teamed up with some of the worlds hottest producers in London, Sweden, and LA . She is currently in the studio with top producers Cutfather and JJ out of Copenhagen and after that she will go to LA to work with US hitmakers Soulshock and Karlin to finish up her upcoming album .
