My name is Klaus Heinecke and I am a film editor. I have
been working professionally in Denmark since 1998 cutting shorts, promos and ads
before moving to England in 2003 to pursue my dream of working on larger scale films with complex narratives. I have 5 years of experience assisting on features and I collaborated on the creative editing of the multi award winning feature-doc "Maximum Penalty" and the critically acclaimed road-movie "Point of View", that won the Award for Best Feature Film at the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival 2001.
As the main editor I have worked on 10 short films and 10 documentaries that has achieved nominations and won awards in the worldwide festival circuit. I was trained by high-profile feature, commercial and documentary editors in Denmark and at The National Film and Television School (NFTS) in England, where I was awarded with the Christie Prize for most outstanding student of the year.
The recent film films i worked on were part of programme of festivals such as Odense Film Festival ’07, Edinburgh ’07, Bruxelles ’07 (Won Best Young Jury Award and Best Male Actor), Tribecca ’07, Bruxelles ’07, Dresden ’07, IFF Rotterdam ’07, Premier Plans ’07 (won Special Jury Prize and Best Male Actor), Tampere ’07, Florida ’07, London IFF ’06, Palm Springs ’06, Edinburgh IFF ’06 (Nomination Mclaren Award), Rhode Island IFF ’06 (Won Best Screenplay), Illinois IFF (Won Best Short Comedy), Sheffield Doc Fest ’06 & Hiroshima Animation Festival ’06.
I was cutting a comedy-series "Tak For i aften" for Nordisk Film and the danish broadcaster TV2-ZULU, following a sketchshow "Tjenesten" for Respirator Film and the National broadcaster DR2 as the first projects of 2007, they were both Nominated for Best Comedy of the Year TVFestival Denmark 2007. "Tjenesten" was the Winner.
At the moment im cutting 90 minutes versions for ZDF and European distribution of a danish tv drama "Forbrydelsen" for the Emmy Award winning department at DRTV.
