Hello Out There!I had the chance to grow up with 3 siblings I will love for life; my 2 natured-spirited brothers (Scotty and Tyrone) and an adorable, beautiful sister, Rachel. I will always love you perpetually. D'anna, Anthony and Brian- what can I say. I love that we can share in great laughter together as we experience the wonders of our family. Brian, the last of the bunch, you mean more to me than you ever will know. You will always be my "buddy"!I looove music and the theater. It looks as though I am on stage more than in the audience. I am a classical trained bass singer and sing presently for Houston Grand Opera. I am also and actor, choreographer and director @ Encore Theater and have performed in Renaissance Theater, Paramount Theater, The Hobby Center and the Ensemble Theater (just to name a few).I love the youth! For now 19 years I have been involved with youth in a unique way. When I was high school, there were 2 great loves that I had- JROTC and Choir. Well when I was in 10th grade, a friend of mine name Alicia Walker (at that time) came to me and said, "wouldnt it be great to do this in churches/communities with youth on a mission?" Never knew that from that point, it would be a journey to travel. I founded and directed 4 drill teams. It has been a blast with all of them. And I have seen my lil kids grow up and become adults and now want their own kids in the drill team. I am so fortunate to run into 2 people that has helped me in faith. Joan Ellis and Petty Officer Harris. They were the 1st to introduce me to Buddhism. I couldnt quite understand eastern philosphy@1st but that was soon clear within weeks. I couldnt believe what I had been missing out on. It is so clear now how chanting a few words could be so powerful. Nam Myoho Renge Kyo is the Key. I am seriously thinking about starting a Buddhist drill team starting @ the age of 9.I am a person that loves nature and not missing some of the simple things in life. I love to dance, laugh, roller coaster rider, walks in the park, ASL (when i meet h-o-h) beaches and relaxing at home. I'm spontaneous when I want to be but lately keeping it simple and living life no matter what comes my way; understanding that even in turbulent times you could find benefits (beauty) inside. Most of all I am so glad to be free from this world and all its attachments. So many are attached to money, gold, intimate relationships, wealth, big houses, cars, etc. All of these things are nice, but they shouldn't dictate your total being. These things are attainable by anyone that utilizes the courage and determination presently within. Man, I have not always been able to say that. There was a time that I allowed society to influence & dictate what a man is suppose to be, to have and to desire! We have all we need within to attain without. I hope I'm not talking over anyone's head, but this is what makes me unique--my perception. Don't get me wrong; I enjoy the finer things of life and what it has to offer, but I am also one that enjoys simple pleasures; going to amusement parks and laughing for no reason or at my own follies. I enjoy pleasant surprises from the heart, compassion and helping others to see outside the worldly frame that we have been defined. Life is so much bigger and when we finally awaken the greatness within us, we will see how greater love is.
