About Me

And Did We Mention Our Disco?

This Friday, 2 November, marks the final Our Disco weekly event at the present time. We have no other events organised after that date.

When we began this weekly experiment, we had in mind the great times we had at our previous weekly residency in Plastic People, and were trying to bring some of the intimacy of those events to another venue, albeit a little further away. We've had some fun nights there over the past few weeks, unfortunately it has become clear to us that it is unsustainable to run this night on a weekly basis without booking a lot more guest DJs. Unfortunately, the costs associated with doing that would mean us raising the door price significantly, something we're not prepared to do. So, instead, we have taken the difficult decision to close down our weekly night for the time being.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all you wonderful people who have attended each of the events we have put on in this series, we think you're great and our club night wouldn't exist at all without you. We also want to thank our resident DJs and all the staff who have worked to make each of the nights as enjoyable as they have been. You're all superstars to us.

Our Disco is not through yet, we will continue to evolve; we will be putting on a lot more events in 2008. We can't say any more about those for now, but keep checking our website for news and for more podcast DJ mixes in the meantime.

Thank you all for your support over the last few weeks, and we're looking forward to welcoming you to our final party in this series on Friday 2 November. Den Odell and Glyn Campbell of 'And Did We Mention Our Disco?'

About us

Known for forging their own sound and style, Our Disco's resident DJs have been mixing up their concoction of post-punk, glitch-funk, schitzo-electro and mutant disco for a friendly, lively and artistic crowd since January 2003.

Resident DJs Rory Phillips, Nadia Ksaiba, Glyn Campbell and Den Odell provide sonic anarchy at what is fast becoming London's favourite club.

Expect the freshest sounds in town: punk, funk, no wave, rock and roll, fucked up house, sleazy electro or mutant disco.

It's mixed up music for independent human beings.

Previous Guests include: Justice, Simian Mobile Disco, Erol Alkan, 2 Many DJs, Yuksek, Munk, Chicken Lips, Paul Thomson (Franz Ferdinand), Ronnie Danzig, JDH and Dave P, Tiefschwarz, Rapture, Hot Chip DJs, Paul Epworth (Phones), Uffie & Feadz, Sebastian, Rodion, The Glimmers, Oizo, Kavinsky, James Murphy (DFA), Tim Sweeny (DFA), Optimo, Blurt (live), Les Georges Lenigrad (Live), Long Blondes (live), Mit (live), Max Tundra, Chromeo (live), Lindstrom & Prins Thomas (live), Delia and Gavin (live), Trevor Jackson, Zongamin, Midnight Mike, Punks Jump Up, Captain comatose (live), Fannypack, Tomlab DJs, Simon Bookish (live) Mylo, Unicorns (live)
