About Me

Where do I begin? Hmmm... Currently, I'm an aviation student finishing up my private license and building up hours towards the next rating, soon-to-be business degree candidate, and student of life. For sanity I rock the airwaves and web on my school's radio station (www.ricradio.org, for all who haven't heard what it means to be "Caffeine" Rich). For reasons I've yet to fully fathom, I attempt to use my decades of stage/musician/dance/M.C. experiences with a DJ service owned by me and three of my dearest friends (Ultrasonic Entertainment, L.L.C.).Travel, music, cars (especially racing them), aviation, film, the human condition, the folly of man (One of my favourite axiom's is, "Cherish kindness, admire greatness, pity stupidity")... these are a few of the things that light my fire, and have been such an integral part of my very existence. With rare exception, I have interest in about most anything.I try to keep an open mind, and constantly grow. I keep an open door, open phone line, and open arms to those who also choose to grow, develope, and live truly fearlessly, but not recklessly. I hold dear a quote from Frank Herbert's, Dune..."I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when ... it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." - Bene Gesserit Litany Against FearTo find out more, simply ask.

My Interests

Travel, Music, Cars, Aviation... these are but a few of my interests... You Are 69% Strange!

You are pretty darn strange. You're quirky and odd, and definitely not normal. But that's great--it makes you an interesting person. You aren't exactly as strange as they come, but congratulations on being quite unique!

I'd like to meet:

People with who enjoy intelligent conversation... who aren't just trying to build up their networks... people who won't remove themselves from my friends list at the slightest hint of conversation... people with soul...

Music:

So many wonderful musicians I've heard, and sometimes seen, and even met... Jan Johnston, Tony Benett, Sting, Dream Theater, Rush, Dot Allison, Sarah McLachlan, Frank Sinatra, George Gershwin, J.S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, Van Halen, U2... are a few, but I keep discovering new artists who blow me away, so the list just keeps growing...
My personal music mantra...

God Lives Underwater - No More Love Lyrics
I can see
See the signs
I've been waiting here for you
But nothings getting through
I am gone
Up in the clouds
Prying I can turn
Turn myself around
I gave it a year
I hoped it wouldn't happen
Now its here
It took so long
I can't carry on
I know the reason that you left me
You had nothing more to give me
No more love
I can see
See your eyes
I can feel your heady stare
I run my fingers through my hear
I am high
As one can be
And I hope I don't come down
I hate when I come down
I know you lied
Took my live into your hands
You just don't understand
How it feels
To be free
I know the reason that you left me
You had nothing more to give me

Good musical advice

Movies:

I was on a, "the DaVinci Code" kick (I'd seen it seven times!!!), however, "Good Night, and Good Luck", and "V for Vendetta" are newer cinematic "friends". Episodes IV through VI of the Star Wars Saga always kick ass, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", "Amelie", "Pulp Fiction", "Ghandi" and "Cassablanca" are always good diversions from my everyday humdrum existence (LOL), from time to time, as well.

Television:

I'm a Discovery Channel kinda guy, though a good motorsports competition (WRC, F1, NASCAR, ChampCar), or a good Patriots game works, and there's always the Daily Show and the occassional anime series (currently "Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex")...

Books:

There are the ones for my Private Pilot's license... it's lots of work, but sooooooo worth the effort... The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy series... Angels and Demons... the DaVinci Code... Timothy Zahn's Star Wars books... 1984... the first four books of the Dune series (they started to get silly after that)... and many... many... more...

Heroes:

There are so many heroes, from so many realms... people such as Jan Johnston- an amazing singer/songwriter/performer, and incredible spirit... to the Dalai Lama, Gandhi, and Joseph Campbell...
