Kuya the Canadian-born group formed in Toronto is out to prove just how talented they are. Sammy and Johann first met when they were both cast in the Toronto production of Miss Saigon. Bobby was in school finishing up music production and engineering. After a few recording sessions in Bobbys small studio setup, Kuya was formed. The group began to develop their unique style that quickly caught the attention of many record label executives within the North American Music Industry.Bobby Brass established Kuya Productions with his brother Sammy Blues in New York City producing tracks and co-writing with many of today hottest songwriters including Harold Lilly(Alicia Keys), Kristal Oliver, and most recently Songwriter of the year Sean Garrett(Usher,Beyonce,Fergie,PCD). In Canada they are responsible for BMG/VIK recording artist Shawn Desmans debut album going platinum, having produced the first two singles Get Ready and Shook(1 singles).Kuya Productions recently signed to EMI MUSIC PUBLISHING(Big Jon) in the U.S. based on their production work on Nellys Suit album(4Xplatinum) and Mases Welcome Back album(Gold) and Ginuwine.
