Who is DJ Bluecore?
My name is Danjel and I’ve lived in a city called Borås for my whole life. It..s located in the west side of Sweden, and if you should believe the statistics Borås is the city, in Sweden, where it rains the most. The other day I also read that the Women here achieve more orgasms than in any other city in Sweden. So if you summit the fact I think Borås is a pretty nice place.
Before I will tell you about the music I play, and why it has become so important to me, I can tell you a little bit more about myself.
When I’m not doing new mixes, I like to run, play badminton or hanging around with my friends. Of course a party is never wrong ether. If you want to book me for one please contact me on my mail.
Why hardcore?
Well, first time I heard hardcore was back in 1995-1996. At first it was Scooter and their first album "...and the beat goes on" and after that I heard albums from the series "happy rave" and "happy hardcore". For those who not have heard about these albums it..s Dutch happy hardcore on them like Ultimate Buzz, Promo, Highlander, Back 2 Bass, Cixx and No Velocity.
Later I lost interest in Hardcore for a while and I became a big Scooter fan and listened to both their hardcore music and their trance/techno music.
My hardcore interest woke up big when in 2003 I heard a internet show called Happy Hour Radio with the canadian happy hardcore legends Anabolic Frolic and Silver1. These two guys and their show was waking my interest to become a DJ myself.
Timeline
In August 2004 I got myself a pc program called Traktor DJ Studio 2. At first I did not have a clue how to mix. It all sounded awful. But I just tried to do new things and after some time I had made my own mixing technique.
At first I started to mix to have some nice music in my car but later I though: "Hey, why not share my mixes to others?!" At first I was going to come up with and DJ name. I play Core and I like blue, why not Bluecore?
I was sending out my mixes to different places but the feedback was not that great. So I just took the bad stuff and improved my mixes so that they got better and better. In December 2004 I was sending my first mix to happyhardcore.com radio / digitally imported radio. At first they where not accepted but I was improving myself more and more until they got on. Now in February 2008 I have 41 Hardcore mixes and 4 trance mixes that is or has been played on di.fm.
In March 2006 I moved one step forward in my DJ career...
I bought myself 2 CD players and a mixer. It..s 2 x Pioneer-200 and a Numark DMX06 mixer.
To learn these players was not so tricky as I thought because I had learned to mix in Traktor before.
In April 2007 I got the big break. A guy called Smoke from New York was contacting me in late 2006 and asking if I would like to come and play on his, and New York, first ever Happy Hardcore party in april. Of couse I could not thank no to this. My first ever gig! In New york!
In the middle of 2007 I was starting to mix for another radio alongside di.fm, NERadio. This is the biggest internetradio in Sweden and one of the 40 biggest in the world. By playing on this radio I want to show the Sweeds about Hardcore and hopefully get more gigs in Sweden.
The 13..th October 2007 I got my second gig on a Cruise from Stockholm, Sweden to Ã…bo, Finland. I got this gig after I won a DJ contest on www.badboll.nu.
My third gig was coming up in 26..th January 2008 in Helsingborg, Sweden. This was also my first Trancegig.
Also in later January 2008 I bought myself a new pair of CDs, the Pioneer CDJ-400.
