Nicholas Byrd is a Phoenix, Arizona based hip hop artist, writer and performer who capativates, and enchants audiences with the incomparably deft presentation of his songs. Nicholas Byrd born in 1980 also known as N.O.K meaning (None Of a Kind) started his journey in the hip hop world at an early age. Growing up in the Mecca of MG, and the heart of Harlem, New York is where the hunger began.
N.O.K was heavily influenced by the likes of Rakim, the Notorious B.I.G, and Grand Daddy IU. From day one hip hop was embedded into N.O.K's soul. In 1994 N.O.K moved to Phoenix, Arizona where the music continued. Going from freestyle rapping to actually writing lyrics, and recording landed N.O.K as an artist. Being in different groups and performing within Arizona built the confidence of N.O.K. After the groups ended, N.O.K kept his focus and persued a solo career.
Upon the solo recording of his album,"Live From Street Side", N.O.K began opening for major artists in 2003. N.O.K has opened for Baby Bash, Nas, Snoop Dogg, LiL Mo, Frankie J, and many more. Making a name for himself was not an easy task, as this music industry is very fickle, but he has been well received by all that listen to his music, and watch him perform.
