Band Members: The Swiss Swank Account is an 11 piece swing band whose repertoire consists primarily of the music of the Duke Ellington and Count Basie orchestras. The instrumentation of this band is 2 trumpets, 1 trombone, 3 saxophones, piano, guitar, bass, drums and vocals.
Members of the band depend on availability. The following have performed with the swank:

vocals: Terri Murphy sax: John Winn, Mike Cemprola, J. C. Kuhl, Kevin Simpson, Rick Reiger, Samson Trinh trumpet: Taylor Barnett, Bob Miller, Rex Richardson, Mark Ingraham, John Greenburg trombone: me piano: Daniel Clark, Bob Hallahan, Anthony Dowd guitar: Trey Pollard, Thomas Wakefield bass: Curtis Fye, Rusty Farmer, Jimmy Sullivan, Ryan Hughitt drums: Robby Sinclair, Keith Willingham, Kelli Strawbridge, Aaron Thompson

The Jazz Sextet is a hard hitting, New York Jazz Club style band, playing the music made famous in the late 1950s and early 1960s called Hard Bop. This six - piece group has a repertoire that specializes in the music of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers. The follow have performed with the sextet:
trumpet: Taylor Barnett, Rex Richardson tenor sax: John Winn, J. C. Kuhl, Kevin Simpson, Jason Gay bone: me piano: Daniel Clark, Bob Hallahan, Skip Gailes, Anthony Dowd bass: Curtis Fye, Rusty Farmer, Randall Pharr drums: Robby Sinclair, Brian Jones, Aaron Binder, Keith Willingham
Fatback This ensemble plays a variety of New Orleans influenced music; from the traditional street parade style of Dixieland, to the early music of Duke Ellington, to the Soul Jazz sound of the 60's and back again for some Louis Armstrong favorites. Fatback plays authentic, blues filled, New Orleans based JAZZ! This goup includes trombone, trumpet, bass, drums and a vocalist but can also include banjo and clarinet.
trumpet: Taylor Barnett bone: me bass: Jimmy Sullivan, Curtis Fye drums: Robby Sinclair vocals: Josh Smalls
mingus a-monk-us This is my lastest project and, as the name suggests, the focus is on the music of Thelonius Monk and Charles Mingus, two of the most unique and celebrated figures in jazz history. This ensemble is a quintet, but can (ideally) expand by adding three more horns. ( ensemble members are uncertain at this time due to a lack of gigs. )
Jazz Quartet / Trio / Duo I've done many a gig with Thomas Wakefield playing standards in these line-ups. The trio (guitar, bass, horn) is fairly common in the restaurant curcuit. I'd have to say that I enjoy duets the most. I do have a demo of Thomas and myself playing duets at "Private Stock" (wine, beer, and cigars). It was there that we opened for Fidel Casto's personal cigar roller!
