MY DAILY PRAYERGod, I know that You want me to be like salt on the earth, like a candle in the dark, a lighthouse on a hill, so that others will come to You. Cleanse me anew that I will be a witness for You. Show me how You want to penetrate the darkness of my domain with Your light. Help me to be a positive influence in the places where I live, work, study, play. Thank you, Lord. Demetria, Shoonk as many know her as, was born on July 20, 1981 through the union of Mr. Phillip "Bud" Powell and Teresa Willis. She currently resides in Norfolk, VA where she attends Old Dominion University to obtain her Bachelors of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies-Teachers Prep Program for Elementary K-3. Her expected date of graduation is May 08. After she receives her degree, Demetria plans to continue her education at ODU by entering the Educational Leadership and Counseling Masters Degree Program. Once she obtain her masters degree, her plans are to get a doctrate in Divinity. Demetria is currently nine credits away from a Religious Studies Certificate, in which she will receive from Paul D. Camp Community College. Demetria loves God and serves Him with such humility. She is currently the founder and President of Chain Breakers Youth Ministry, She teaches youth sunday school to youth ages 5 to 10, she also the overseer of the youth choir. Because of her passion for young people her ultimate Goal is to found a Christian Academy and also she is currently planning the operation of a Nonprofit organization entitled Y-PEGG. Y-PEGG is geared towards young people providing intervative services that help the youth discover their potential and move towards Excellence. Demetria has a passion for singing. She is currently the Praise and Worship leader at her local church. Also, she is a former member of Greg Roberts and Soulful Celebration, in which she was known for DA FEMALE TENOR!....(GREG AND SOULFUL, they are in her friends list check them out...HOT GROUP BUY THEIR CD TODAY!)....Also she oversees the youth choir at her church. Although singing is her passion, she is no longer apart of a group due to her desire to finish her studies. Those who know Shoonk, knows that she is a fun, loving, spiritual, wise, and mature young female for her age. KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS!Some may not understand or disagree, it really does not matter! because I LOVE YOU FOR LOVING ME..We are MINISTRY IN THE MAKING! I am lovable, compassionate, sweet, spiritual, GOd-fearing, beautiful, intelligent, and caring. Things that interest me: Church, singing, eatting, chilling with friends and cracking jokes. My favorite food is fried chicken wings oh dont forget the texas pete hot sauce. lol. Anyways, food is not always on my mind! As you can tell i have a wonderful sense of humor. What turns me on: Wisdom, the Word of God, Truth, Conversation...one day KAM! WINK!
