About Me

I've learned a lot about myself and other people over the course of my life, and in particular my experiences the past 4-6 years have been steadily ramping up in intensity. I have a feeling that this is all preparing me for something big, but discovering what that "something" is will just have to wait until it's unfolded.
I'm learning a valuable lesson at the moment, and that is something along the lines of being at peace with what life throws at you, and not trying to impose your will over God or the Universe, and instead flowing with it and collaborating on the process as it unfolds. Freewill is our ability to flow with life and make choices that serve to bring us the experiences that we want, or to flow against life and choose to cut ourselves off from prosperity and providence. Now, realizing this as truth and living in alignment with it are two different things, and if I'm correct in assuming that my experience isn't a complete anomaly in all of humankind, this isn't always (or even usually) an easy task; at least not at this level of awareness.
I know that humanity has barely scratched the surface of its full potential, and the all-too-palpable madness that we see all around us is evidence of this, and absolutely not evidence of an inherent flaw in nature, creation, or evolution. I see the potential in everyone that I meet, and while it isn't my place to pass judgments on others' lives and choices and interject where I'm not invited (which I've learned by damaging a lot of relationships), I do my absolute best to consistently make myself available for others in away way that I'm needed to help bring out that potential.
I am a passionate person. I love music, watching cartoons, cooking, eating, cuddling, I love people, I love people watching, I am very compassionate and empathetic. I am an INFX, which is a "combination" of INFP and INFJ, which are psychological types from the Myers/Briggs Type Indicator test, and if you're interested in this sort of thing I highly recommend the book " Please Understand Me ", which explains all of the different types of temperaments that make up the people on this planet. Being an INFX means that I belong to a group that makes up less than 2% of 2% of the world's population (only 2% are INFJs or INFPs respectively, and of those groups, only 2% are male), so it's not surprising that I've felt as if I'm on the wrong planet most of my life.
I love wrapping up in warm blankets in cold weather, photography, walking in the rain in Seattle and Portland, the Northwest in general, looking at cute things, talking about ideas and dreams and life, kissing, sitting on my couch, meditating, caring for my cats, smashing Toast (one of my kitties) in a waffle maker, candles, animals in general, hanging out with amazing friends, spending time alone, writing, reading, pondering, being a part of things, experiencing life, being happy to exist, being in awe of existence in general, learning new things, trying new things, rocking my life as much as possible, being happy, overcoming obstacles, nurturing myself, being healthy, helping others, smashing or somehow violently destroying cute things, making people I love laugh, giving, watching, understanding, exploring myself ("in a totally sexual way"), and attaching the word "pants" to other words.
"I'd like to see my life being about the evolution of my soul. I'd like to see my life being about expressing and experienceing the part of me I love most. The part of me that is compassion and patience and giving and helping. The part of me that is knowing and wise, forgiving and... love."

Quotes:
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many, or merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason, then accept it and live up to it."
Buddha

"We'll see it when we believe it."

"When people show you who they are, believe them."
Maya Angelou

"You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand."
- Woodrow Wilson

"If we believe absurdities, we shall commit atrocities."
- Voltaire

"If you suffer because of the suffering of others, that is only increasing the amount of suffering in the world."
- Chakras for Beginners by David Pond

"Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it."
- Mark Twain

"What I see in my world is a mirror of what I have in my mind."
- Louise L. Hay (From "Meditations to Heal Your Life")

"Embarrassment is the response of a person who still has an ego investment in how others see him."

"Separation breeds indifference, false superiority. Unity produces compassion, genuine equality."
- Conversations With God

"Religion asks you to learn from the experiences of others. Spirituality urges you to seek your own."
- Conversations With God

"If you make people think they're thinking, they'll love you; But if you really make them think, they'll hate you."

"I have no doubt that it is part of the destiny of the human race in its gradual development to leave off the eating of animals, as surely as the savage tribes have left off eating each other when they came into contact with the more civilized."
- Thoreau

"While we ourselves are the living graves of murdered beasts, how can we expect any ideal conditions on this earth?"
