My interests expand to but are not limited to - Music, singing, Jewish Litergy, Torah Study - but I'm just taking baby steps so don't expect a scholar! writing songs or coming up with story ideas, Stargate SG1, figuring out what the heck Lost is all about, love movies and attend often, rent movies when I can't have the theatre experience, love theatre, I crochet a little, trying to learn how to knit but I'm knit defective I think, torturing the cat - but he loves it! languages but haven't had alot of time to persue as I would like to, festivals and fun things like that. I've gone to belly dancing shows and local drama. My favorite Broadway show is Les Miserables. I cry - I mean I really cry. If talking could be a hobby ......... Of course it's fairly obvious I like the internet.
My Heart Is Pink
In relationships, I like to play innocent - even though I'm not.
Each time I fall in love, it's like falling for the first time.My flirting style: CoyMy lucky first date: Picnic in the parkMy dream lover: Is both caring and dominantWhat I bring to relationships: Romance What Color Heart Do You Have?
Thought for TodayStarry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and grey
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and daffodils
Catch the breeze and the winter chills Rose
In colours on the snowy linen land
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen
They did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds and violet haze
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue
Colours changing hue
Morning fields of amber grain
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artists' loving hand
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen
They did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could have told you Vincent
This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you
Like the strangers that you've met
The ragged men in ragged clothes
The silver thorn of bloody rose
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow
Now I think I know
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen
They're not listening still
Perhaps they never will...
I'd like to meet:

*Sap Alert*
A brief moment of sappiness ahead....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MY deepest yearning is to meet my natural mother/father and siblings. I was adopted when I was 3 years old after being in a foster home from nearly birth to 3 years. I have always wanted to know my birth family. Unfortunately that door seems to have closed abruptly. I won't detail it here. Just to say to be swept off your feet on a magic flying carpet only to have it ripped out from under you is kinda how it feels. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With that out of the way, I would have loved to have met Rosemary Clooney. Ok for you youngins, she was George Clooney's Aunt and Jose Ferrera is her son son. She was a wonderful charismatic vocalist. Very adaptable to whatever she sang. She didn't dance much like most of the stars back then, she just let her vocal chords do all the work. I admire her style very much. Jimmey Stewart seemed to me like he would be a laugh riot to meet. Someone with so much energy and charisma. Along with that, I just adored Danny Kay and wish I could've met him as well. What a funny but genuine sort of man.I mention in my music section Rab Shlomo Carlbach. I have a few of his cd's. When I hear them, I hear much Kavannah. Meaning sincerity, um, it's basically meaning wholeheartedly, a sort of a "with everything in your being" term. I think it would have been a very transcendent experience to have sat in his presence and hear him sing. He just seemed to have a way to draw you in. Like a Bard, if you will does. But in a much deeper and profound way. His daughter performs as well. I heard her last year, but to me she doesn't have that in her as he did.
ok so, Biblical characters .. I'd love to meet Joseph. Joseph the guy with the coat of many colors. I just love that man! He had wonderful characteristics that man.
Anyway , if I had the opportunity to have a party and invite anyone I wanted, well as far as actors and the likes, I'd invite Gerard Butler, Sandra Bullock, the cast from Stargate SG1, His cutness Branden Frazier, Robin Williams, Patrick Stewart, David Duchouvney, Mel Gibson, David Wenham, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Hugh Jackman, Drew BerryMoore, Reese Weatherspoon and Alison Sweeney. That's all I can think of for now. Definately part of the entertainment would be James Taylor and Josh Groban. Then I'd rent out an ice skating rink and these would be invited to come and skate - Katerina Whitt, Brian Boitano - you go BRIAN!!, Kristi Yamaguchi, Sasha Cohen, Mark Hamilton and Michelle Quan. Oh, I forgot and Gerard Butler would sing us highlights from The Phantom of the Opera. The list is short of females but the men would bring their wives/girlfriends and vice versa! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now that I've butchered that whole section - hope you like the butchering and don't mind me getting carried away.
Music:
Ahh ..... music. Do I like music? Do I play music? WHAT about music??? Ok, ok ... First, realize that I have a friend who gives me copies of all this messianic and mainstream jewish stuff which means I have so much music of my own now that I rarely ever get to here the stuff on the radio anymore be it top 40/underground/christian whatever... Click on This section and hear My music!!! I write music as well. I have on song published called My Rose and it was published by Danny O'Flaherty who sings it on his CD called From the Heart I have an eclectic taste. My cd collection consists of Josh Groban, Gerry O'Beirn - an irish artist, The Poor Claires - also a folk group with an Irish bent, the late Shlomo Carlebach - A rabbi, Eighteen, Chevra2, Rick Reicht, Beth Schaffer, Craig Taubman and many other Jewish and also Messianic Jewish artists, Rich Mullins, Burlap to Cashmere, many Integrity and Hoesanna collections which are mainstream christian, some classical, Ancestro who was a local latin American folk group, some reggae, Oh, Mattisyahu. I love but don't any albums of
, ELO, Kansas, Foriegner, Journey, Rio Speedwagon, Phil Collins, Innis Fre, I do have one of Capercaillie Nadurra and of course I own the cd of Les Miserables. IN the 80's I listened to Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Glass Tiger, Midnight Oil, Talking Heads, Extreme, Billy Joel, Steve Winwood and my mind can't wrap around the rest right now.
When I sang at church - which is not often now since I can't get there anymore. I'd often sing something by Twila Paris, Rebbecca St. James,
Susan Ashton or Sandi Patty.
Movies:
I have collected a nice variety, Kate and Leopold, Sweet Home Alabama, While You Were Sleeping and Ever After are some of my fav chic flicks.
I am very passionately drawn to sci fi .. so I gravitate towards X=men, LOTR, Narnia - which is more fantasy, Stargate, Star Wars, Star TrekOh, one of my most favorite movies is the Wedding Singer. If there is a movie that exists that exmplifies the 80's that is the one!!! Ok, well, Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club do too when you think about it.I recently bought A Beautiful Mind. I would not like to invite Russel Crowe to any parties, but I certainly respect him as an actor. He is very intense and he plays these men with such strong characters. He is always worthy of an Oscar in my opinion.If I had to pick a director/producer I am interested in it's M. Knight Shyamalan. I nearly always go for the one that is not in the popular view. I just see a quality about his work. He has a marvelous eye for detail. Every scene is like right out of a rockwell picture, very clean and pretty. His techniques are so subtle. He doesn't just outright feed you the story, but he shows it to you. You either get it or you don't. I'm trying to collect all of his stuff on DVD. I like hearig about the making of the movies and why he did what and when.I saw the Pianist and The Passion and once was enough for me on both. But I tend to like goofy things too like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Raising Arizona. I just saw The Pink Panther and laughed till I nearly peed on myself!Did I leave out ...Phantom of the OPERA???
Television:
Growing up, I watched Baretta, Wild Wild West, Big Valley, Brady Bunch, The Partridge family, Eight is Enough, Starsky and Hutch, and loads of cartoons - Marvin the Martian is my hero. I used to love Alf too!Now of course my Tv poisen is Stargate SG1 with Lost coming into a close second... width="425" height="350" .. [IMG]http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e243/snootch2danootch
/lost/lostbuttonprompt.gif[/IMG] I like BattleStar Galactica but it is very dark and not like the original. Then there's Stargate Atlantis - just put Stargate in the front of the name, I'll go for it! I also watch Invasion. That was created and produced by Shawn Cassidy! You go Shawn for the hidden talent! ( When I was a kid, I was going to grow up and marry Shawn! )
Books:
My desire to read books and my actually reading them are two different things. One of my favorite stories is a short story by Joseph Conrad. It's called The Secret Sharer. If you run across it, it's a great read and I would LOVE to chat about it as well!I recently read Memoirs of a Geisha. It was both interesting and disturbing.I am trying to find the time to embark to a muich more intellectual and heavy thinking book called Post-Missionary Messianic Judaism by Mark Kinser.Um, anyone read Curious George??? Doesn't the memory of him letting all the baby bunnies go and having to collect them all just make you a little misty eyed from nystalgia?
Heroes:
James West and Nick Barkley were my hero's way back when. Another sap alert ... warning do not read if you're not accustomed to sap .....I Lov Lov Loved my daddy who died when I was 7. He was my hero, my big protector who could do no wrong. He spent alot of time with me and that's what good fathers should do! Now, this may seem strange, but I conider my birthmother a hero. My life lay in her hands. Her decision is why I am able to sit and type all this mostly nonsense. ;) I will always have a reason to live my life as fully as possible knowing someone sacrificed so that I do have a life to live. You may not agree, but I owe that to live my life and to live it indeed. That's why if I had an icon it would be the word
Write in Hebrew with ChaiSpace.com_______________________THIS means Life or which means To life! At last the end of the sappiness ends with my greatful thanks and deeply touched soul at the hero's that outpoured compassion to everyone affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The people who actually got out and helped recover survivors, the ones who have come here to help rebuild, the ones who opened their hearts, homes, closets and kitchens. If I were to write anymore about it now I'd be in tears. You are all Angels and the best of heros.
