In 2004, the 1st annual DC Latin Rock Festival was born, hundreds came to support DC's latin Rock Artists, a total of 10 local bands took the stage at Jaxx in Springfield for what turned out to be a memorable night in the history of DC's Latin Rock.
In 2005 a bigger venue and bigger stars, through the support of the sponsors and the fans, the 2nd annual DC Latin Rock Festival bands took the stage in Falls Church for what was another great chapter in this endeavour to support the local scene, despite some problems, everyone including the Dominican Republic's JLS stepped up to the plate and out did the first festival by far (both in attendance and the quality of the show!)
2006 to date, was the BEST DCLRF! On the stage, for the third consecutive year, the Festival veterans Papas Underground, Filtro and Nayas, sophmores Stone Gato and Eclipse palyed an excellent show, showcasing what the DC area has to offer to the largest crowd in DCLRF history, As a special guest, the multiplatinum Warner Recording artist from Spain: ANGELES DEL INFIERNO Closed the show and history was made. For 3 consecutive years, the DCLRF showed the DC area and beyond that the local artists in our area take it seriously, and have the caliber to share the stage with multiplatinum selling artists!
This year, the 4th annual DCLRF will return to it's original date, MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND! This memorial day, share with us, the appreciation for our local talent!
