About Me

This layout is from WhateverLife.com; get yours today!Hi, I'm Becky. I was born in Charleston, SC, but raised in North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, and finally St.Louis, MO. All are home to me in a sense, but I really want to return to North Carolina someday. I spent time in Australia as an exchange student and studied abroad in Vienna, Austria in college- both experiences stand above just about all others in my life, save for being a mom.I'm an artist, a graphic designer and a mommy to the best 3 year old on the planet. I'm pretty easy going- something I'm learning as I get older. I love spending time with my quirky family (my mom's an artist/geologist/counselor, my dad's a retired exec working at Home Depot) and my AMAZING friends who continually pick me up, dust me off and remind me to keep my chin up and my sense of humor going. :)I like all sorts of music, mostly independent films and documentaries, nature TV- anything I can learn from. I enjoy a good stupid movie every now and then for giggles. I love wine bars, good cheese,I travel a lot- I work from home so my schedule allows exploring time. My favorite places I've been include The Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia, Mataranka, Hamilton Island (Great Barrier Reef), biking along the Danube in Austria, Llama farm on 400 acres of Maine coast, a log mansion in Jackson Hole, Misty Fjords Natnl Park in Alaska, Granville Island, Vancouver, and good ol' Carolina Beach, NC. There aren't many things/places I *don't* like unless it's the Muny, Hannibal, MO or south Milwaukee (but at least you are sure to eat well there...). Oh, and driving across Kansas is pretty painful, too.I live on 4 acres of woods near the Missouri wineries with my husband and daughter and two dogs- an Italian Greyhound Sonny and my sweet Golden Retriever, Bella. I simply cannot get enough of the sound of the trees in the wind out here.I'm in a phase of my life where I'm reinventing who I am and where I'm going, and it's kind of nice as a change of pace. I'm looking into going back to school to get my masters in Art Therapy. Any new adventure sounds good to me.I hope you have a sense of humor- I tend to tease. :)
