The imps settled in the peaceful terrain of Nor-cal, and brought a new sound to Chico town. They were welcomed by the local music community and began playing anywhere and everywhere they could to build a fan base. When they couldn't get gigs they put on shows at their "5th & walnut" head quarters........................... The imps are a live rock n' roll band. They were the unofficial Juanita's house band. Playing sometimes four nights a week with everyone from the likes of Apples In Stereo, Three Mile Pilot, Satan's Pilgrims, and Rye Coalition to Mike Watt, The Mother Hips, The Mooney Suzuki and Hucksalt Hedspeed. They have played NXNW in Portland, Or. and critics have refered to The imps as "Chico's hardest working band" due to their rigorous club schedule. The imps have also broken beer sales records during their performances @ Duffy's Tavern in Chico!................... Originally from Clovis, Ca the trio met in high school 1985 and have been together ever since. Starting out like so many new bands, practicing in garages, bedrooms, basements, and their parents' living rooms. Before long they were playing clubs and parties regularly and had a persistent following, but their sights were set higher then what their hometown had to offer................................ Their music has evolved over the years... They listened, learned, twisted, and turned that "California Soul" sound into what it is today...........................
