"The Accolade" by Edmund Blair Leighton. This is one of my favorite paintings. There is 'something' about knights in shining armor. The entire medieval period captivates me.Here are two paintings by David Jean, they are called: "The Temptation of Pegasus" and "The Revelation of Pegasus"--These show the never-ending battle between "good" and "evil" which is probably why I am drawn to them, considering this is something each of us deals with on a daily basis. This is so funny! Looks as though MareBear is on the cover of People!

Jesus. I'd really like to meet Joel Osteen outside of a book-signing: He is very kind in person; but I'd really like to just sit around and talk. I'd also like to meet: Bono, Gordon Currie, Christopher Walken, Val Kilmer, Liam Neeson, Pierce Brosnan, Stevie Nicks, Angelina Jolie, and the people whose acquaintance I've made through Cloud Ten Pictures, you know who you are: Alicia, CJ, Dale, and Heather!
U2. I LOVE them. There is nothing more to say than that. Stevie Nicks and Billy Idol: What an unlikely combination! But I LOVE this picture!
..Gordon Currie portrays "Nicolae Carpathia" in the "Left Behind" series of films.
James Bond Quiz
You scored 10 out of 10
Take the James Bond Quiz at Quizopolis.com V For Vendetta--I shudder to think of a world like the one portrayed in this movie; although I love the quote: "People shouldn't be afraid of their governments; governments should be afraid of their people!""Edgar" is awesome--I've named my MacBook Pro in his honor!Such a snot-slinger; one of the few movies I like which stars Meryl Streep--the other one I like is "She Devil"...."I'll be your huckleberry"...Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday from Tombstone I think this is one of the movies which really got me interested in westerns again. Two of my favorite actors in one film: Fantastic!Angelina Jolie: Beautiful. Lovely lady and a lovely humanitarian heart to match. I admire her for her charity work and she is a fantastic action-movie heroine! She truly kicks serious ass as Lara Croft--I am hoping there is a third movie!(sigh) Christopher Walken. There is just something about him I like (a lot!) Can't quite put my finger on it; not that it really matters: He's a fantastic actor! Love to watch him dance!
I confess: I do not watch a lot of television. Yes, I subscribe to DirecTV; with over 250 channels at my disposal, the only things I watch regularly (outside of the local news) are: The Dog Whisperer, Good Eats, Feasting on Asphalt (yes, I am an Alton Brown fan), The Way of the Master, Reno 9-1-1, Blue Collar Comedy, The Bill Engvall Show, any of the "Lifetime" channels, and Joel Osteen--oh, and if there's a dog show on, I will watch that: Just to catch the Hound and Working Dog groups (go Beagles and Great Pyrenees'!)
I LOVE stories by the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen: Fairy Tales. I enjoy reading mythology from all cultures. I like Richard Bach's Jonathan Livingston Seagull and his Illusions--The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah.I enjoy reading Authrian Legends, the James Bond series of books.Eugene H. Patterson's The Message Remix: The Bible in Contemporary Language. This paraphrase of the Bible is VERY easy to read and understand--there are many people who discount this Book, saying it does more damage than good; however, it has helped me to understand the Scriptures as I never have before.Shhh! Don't tell anyone; but my guilty pleasure is the ocassional romance novel!I totally love Joel Osteen's books! Joel is such a positive person. He has made an impact on the world with his words of encouragement: I honestly think the world would be a much better place if people got plugged into his message!
To paraphrase the Willie Nelson classic: "My heroes have always been cowboys": Not in the literal sense of men who jump on the back of a bull and hang on for "eight"; nor in the sense of the men who ride the plains of Montana. My heroes are those who have always stood firm in what they believe irregardless of what others thought: Jesus Christ, Joan of Arc, the founders of the Women's Army Corps, my Paternal Granparents: George and Anna. My Maternal Grandparents: Joe and Nellie. My parents: Harry and Lola. "May The Circle Be Unbroken"."Well then suddenly... there was no one...left standing In the hall...yeah, yeah... In a flood of tears That no one really ever heard fall at all Oh I went searchin' for an answer... Up the stairs...and down the hall Not to find an answer... just to hear the call Of a nightbird...singing... come away...come away..."-- *Lyric from "Edge of 17" --written by Stevie Nicks; posted in honor of my mother: Lola May 1, 1940 - February 16, 1999 "Who's to say where the wind will take you Who's to say what it is will break you I don't know Where the wind will blow Who's to know when the time has come around I don't want to see you cry I know that this is not goodbye...." * Lyric from "Kite" --written by Bono and The Edge; posted in honor of my father: Harry April 12, 1933 - August 21, 2001
