"A Sign Of Things To Come"..The New CD Is Now Out!

About Me

I was born in Louisiana, raised in Arkansas and Texas, and returned to Louisiana for college seven years ago where I’ve been ever since, working various jobs and collaborating with various local musicians until finally one day I decided that the only way to get the sound and results that I’m looking for is to do this on my own, which prompted me to go solo. I got into music seriously at age 12,when I first started trying to learn all the latest rock licks on guitar. That lasted about 8 months until we tried to get a band together and I couldn’t find anyone to play drums, so I made the switch from a singer/guitarist to drummer where I would stay for the next 7 years. All of that changed when I ran into a close friend and former band mate who asked me if I was interested in singing with his band. His band was well established and only needed a singer to complete the lineup and start playing shows .I would later find out that the reason I was asked to join the band was NOT for my music abilities, but the fact that I was fearless and there would be no question about me getting stage fright when it came time to play live. That lasted a whole 4 months, as I was fired from the band the Monday following our first live show. The reason? The drummer's wife didn’t think I was very good. Little did they know this would be the best thing for me. I continued to work relentlessly on improving my vocals until I met Darren Owen in 1999. Darren was an accomplished guitarist, singer, and drummer. We soon formed the band Spoken, which would later become Briarcliff. That lasted a year before Darren turned to focus on college and myself on a new career. Soon after I was asked to write and sing a song on my good friend Adam Henderson's solo CD, and then two years later Adam and myself collaborated for the HK Band, releasing the independent album 'Hesitant Krow' in October of 2001,a full-length album featuring 10 all-new songs as well as a cover of Pink Floyd's "Time". Though so far the two of us have not worked-on or released anything together since, the plan is still in place to one day write and record again under the HK name. In February of 2004 a serious car accident with a drunken driver left me unable to sing for almost 18 months, until finally in July of 2005 the damage suffered to my lungs and chest were completely healed and I set back out the musical path. In April of 2006 I auditioned in West Hollywood to replace Brett Scallions as lead vocalist in Fuel, and was actually one of the final candidates considered for the position. In late Summer of 2006 I also drew interest from the band Something To Burn to fill their frontman vacancy. On December 5th, 2006 I released my first solo album, the EP "A Sign Of Things To Come", which features 4 brand new original songs as well as a cover of doubleDrive's "Thousand Yard Stare". I've also written songs for a full-length LP titled "Low Octane", which I hope to have completed and released sometime in 2007. I'm currently working on piecing together a backing band to get out and play some shows in the coming new year, as well as looking forward to collaborating once again soon with both Adam Henderson and Darren Owen. Thank you for taking the time to check out my music…Sincerely I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
