About Me

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Brightlingsea Free Music Festival (in Essex) started in 2001, its aim was to provide a platform for new and established bands from across the mainstream spectrum of popular music. The festival thrives on its status as a free event and aims to attract an audience of all ages with a wide ranging programme of music.
It's developed from using a lorry trailer as a stage in its first 2 years, to providing a purpose built 15 meter orbital stage in the following 3 years. Attendance has increased each year from around 3000 people at the start, to around 5000 people in 2005.
The festival itself is set right next to the beach (literally a 10 second walk away!) and across the road from the skate park, which on the day, has displays and competitions featuring semi-pro's and local skate/bmx shops donating prizes, against a backdrop of top DJs and live music.
Although the festival is free, it does cost us around 13,000 each year to run, and so we rely on sponsorship from local businesses...which is alot harder than you may imagine! So please support us by coming to this years event on Saturday 5th August, keep checking back for the line-up which will be announced soon.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

WE WANT YOU
WE WANT YOU

Anyone who wants to help sponsor or donate to the festival, please get in contact, any amount is welcome, and it means YOU get a better summer music festival!

If you were at last years Brighlingsea Music Festival and have pictures or comments on the day, let us know! All feedback is welcome, if there's something you loved, tell us. If there's something you thought was dissapointing...tell us. It means we make things better for your festival.

If you love music, or just generally the festival atmosphere, and are up for a seriously good FREE day out...then support us and come to the festival! Whether you live in the area or have to travel, you should definatly mark it down on the calander. Keep checking back for line-up and more updates.

If you're an entertainer, and would be up for helping to entertain the crowd on the day get in touch! Last year there were drummers entertaining and many people doing Poi. We're looking to expand this, so if there's any professional/semi-professional entertainers out there, from breakdancers and magicians to fire eaters, contact us!

Any bands who are interested in playing next year (as we have already been inundated with demo's to go through for this year!) then get in contact and we'll check your stuff out, but dont worry if we dont get back to you yet, it all takes time! So be patient.

If you'd like to get in contact, feel free to message us on here, or email at [email protected]
