ALBUM RELEASE THIS FALL!!!
Since its inception in late 2005, mathpanda has played dozens of shows on the East and West Coasts, sharing the stage with such acts as Tonedeff, Cubbie Bear, Son of Nun, X:144 & SPS, Blak Lungz & Joe Beats, Biz Markie, and Kid Koala, along with numerous talented local artists. With three MCs (Ryn Burns MC, Cosmo, and MC G-ill), a female vocalist (ladymaroo), and a DJ (Joey Muniz), mathpanda's music ranges from gritty, rock- and funk-infused hip-hop to more ethereal, downtempo tracks showcasing ladymaroo's haunting vocals.
In June 2007, mathpanda - along with fellow DC hip hop artists Rosetta Stoned and Flex Mathews - embarked on their first tour, in California. Following the success of The Green Giants Tour, mathpanda will be taking a break from performing as a group for the next few months to finish up their debut album, 'Pandamensional', scheduled for release on FARC in late FALL 2007. The collaborative work will feature production by Joey Muniz, Mind-U-Mental, The Metaphysical, Evancipation, The UnderGrads, Nebulla, and others.
In the meantime, be sure to catch continued performances in the Balt-Wash metro area by Cosmo, ladymaroo, and Joey Muniz.
