"Plutarch's Lives" is the best thing i've read recently. I have a pretty significant collection of classic literature and Science Fiction/Fantasy. I'd rate "Dune" by Frank Herbert and "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Robert A. Heinlein my favorite overall reads.
