Blotch

Blotch, Dancefloor Rock.

About Me

..

Dance music with rock instruments? And without any loops and samples? Does this actually work? the doubter asks and the people who have been in the audience for a Blotch concert and know how well you can dance to their music say: Yes, it does, and it works great! Between the driving monotony of a house set and the spontaneous energy of a rock concert this is the place where youll find the music of Blotch. Equipped like your typical rock band, with drums, bass and two guitars, Blotch enter the stages to put the clubs and their audience into rhythmic vibrations and to fill the dance floors. Drums and bass pound down a beat that shakes your leg and the guitars use it as a canvas on which influences from rock, punk, jazz, pop and folklore from the Far East appear in ever changing constellations. Being more flexible than a DJ, Blotch create their songs always a little differently, reacting to the energy the audience sends back to them and even the people who just popped in for a beer wont be able to avoid this influence.

Sounds Like:

The rhythms and grooves of Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, DJ Shadow or U.N.K.L.E. - minus all the electronics, loops, samples, keyboards, synthesizers and million dollar studios, played by four actual carbon based life forms on actual instruments and infused with a healthy dose of kick ass rock and roll.
