About Me

Myspace Layouts For Girls
Though she only stands 5 feet tall, this new indie Christian artist Lea Muth has a passion as vast as the Great Golden State. Her voice brings to life her intense fire for God and her great love of California, and allows the listener to connect with both.
Lea has lived in California for over 35 years and is passionate about the Golden State. This passion is what inspired her to start writing songs. Thus the title song, “Praise from Cali” was born. “I realize that most of America and even the church frowns upon California due to some actors and politicians,” says Lea. “I wanted them to see that there are actors, politicians and many, many others that reside in this state that love the Lord with all their heart and great things are waiting to come from this place. My hope is to change the view of this state I love so much and share God with everyone as well.”
The sound of her music is fresh and competitive with the Top 40 pop music today. It is through this edge that Lea’s music is able to reach a vast group and minister Christ to those who may have never given christian music a chance. “It’s the greatest compliment to hear when a parent who doesn’t attend church calls you to let you know that their teen is listening to your CD non-stop. What an honor! Reaching the unchurched and sharing Christ.” says Lea.
It’s been over a decade since Lea’s powerful conversion from Catholicism and she’s never looked back. Within just a few short years of attending Living Faith Christian Church in Lancaster California, Lea started singing on the Praise team and a few years later became the Worship Leader. She led worship there for about five years. In April 2004 Lea accepted a position as Worship Leader with the sister church, The Gathering Place of Simi Valley California, where she currently is today. Though she’s small in stature, her bubbly personality and fire for praise is always felt.
“It’s nice to hear a good message from a musical style that can be negative at times. Lea’s vocal is a voice that cuts. Her style is simplistic which speaks louder than the numbers of notes you can fit into a single breathe. The hooks are great, the harmonies are tight, and the beats are fat. The level of talent, songs and overall sound make you remember Lea.” --AudioIntegrity.com
It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.
