About Me

First off... F*CK THIS WAR. What good is power, when you may die trying to consume it? No words will ever make a difference with senseless violence when it comes to the truly evil people in this world who are behind it. Peace and carefree living seem fit only for fantasy. I guess it's important to at least keep it in our lives with the people we know and care about :).........................................About me? Irrelevant unless you are curious. You can gather a bit from the details in the profile if you want to, or you can simply ask. I love everyone in my life dearly and that's all I'll say about that.

Movies:

Vanilla Sky, "V" for Vendetta, Rounders, A Bronx Tale, Eyes Wide Shut, Entropy, The Shining, Clerks, the Ref, Cecil B. Demented, Boondock Saints, Point Break, The Hard Way (James Woods is awesome!), Back to the Future, Back to the Future II, The Player (Tim Robbins), Cool Hand Luke, Slap Shot, His Girl Friday, Arsenic and Old Lace, E.T., Youngblood (as horribly corny a movie it was), A Christmas Story (even though I have it memorized), The Outsiders, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Happy Gilmore, Me Myself, and Irene, Dogma, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Nothing to Lose, The Devil's Advocate, Scent of a Woman, The Godfather Trilogy, Full Metal Jacket, A Clockwork Orange, Major League's I and II, Our Souls to Keep, Die Hard: With a Vengeance, Old School, Wedding Crashers, Dodgeball, There's Something About Mary, The Naked Gun, My Blue Heaven, Plains Trains and Automobiles, National Lampoon's (all of the Griswald flicks!) and of course Rush Hour 1 & 2. ... This is really unfair because I can go on forever...

Television:

simple, simple, simple. My Name is Earl, Tournament poker broadcasts, WWE wrestling, hockey broadcasts, Entourage... that's really all I watch anymore. I'm now finding that TV has gotten much better and i'd love to check out some of the shows i've been hearing about. Time for TV is hard to come by.

Books:

I'm not big on reading books, but I'm not opposed to reading. I like reading the newspaper and magazine articles, website articles from sources such as NHL.com and CardPlayer.com amongst others. If I'm going to be told a story though, I'd rather watch people act it out than spend all sorts of time reading about it. That's only me and it's because I am far from being a fast reader. The books I have read and liked a whole lot though, are:---Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin ---The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein (for it's meaning)-----High Fidelity by Nick Hornby (very intelligent writing, and much better than the movie, which I liked also.)

Heroes:

The people I have grown to respect the most over the course of my life are:(not arranged in order of importance by any means)---Mike Bossy (all-time favorite hockey player... gotta respect four consecutive Stanley Cups, eh?) ---Anthony DiFranco (my genius English professor/author/director-filmmaker) ---Harold Seberle (my grandfather and the ever so dearly departed) ---Jeff Buckley (musician/philosopher)... his music helps shape my moods like no other music can) ---Steven Tyler (singer/songwriter, as well as a survivor to the worst kind of demons... the rest of the band deserves credit too but none more than...) ---Joe Perry (guitarist and singer/songwriter... the respect comes from my inability to understand how someone can kick that much ass with six strings fixed onto crafted wood) ---Doyle Brunson (professional poker player and an unfathomable 10 time World Series of Poker bracelet winner... and poker all luck right? So much so that people make a living out of it :p ---Beth Gibbons (Portishead) Her voice is simply beautiful. The best I've ever heard amongst female vocalists. She totally owns me when I hear her sing. ---Bono of U2 because he is many things, but all that he is comes down to love. Bono puts love into his music, his music puts love into the masses, the masses buy his music, and then he validates his messages of love by putting much of that money towards people in places we tend to bury in our subconsciences, who really need the help. Even if I didn't like U2, I would buy all of their records anyway, knowing it's going to help someone who's life is f*cked merely by chance of creation.
