Carson Taylor Alexander was born in Dallas, Texas in November of 1989. At the age of 2 he was brought to Memphis, Tennessee. Growing up in Memphis, the "home of the blues" and "birthplace of rock and roll", he was exposed to a great variety of music at a young age. Picking up the guitar at the age of 11, Carson realized what it was he wanted to do with his life. He has been playing for live audiences since he was 13 starting on Beale Street, a famous music strip in his home town of Memphis. Carson moved to Austin at the age of 15 after the suggestion of famous Austin music man, Clifford Antone. Cliff took him under his wing and gave him the oportunity to meet many of his heroes and learn from a rich music scene.
Carson is now working on original material and playing the club scene of Austin regularly. His influences include well known artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Mayer, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Jonny Lang and many local musicians of Memphis and Austin. Learning from any form of music from classic blues and soul to heavy rock, metal and current radio pop/rock.
