I've tried my hand at everything. Well almost. Just try me.
Koko the gorilla (for reals), Adam Guettel, Edward Gorey, Victor Borge, and J.K. Rowling. I had a pet falcon, Scoop, for about two weeks until he was old enough to fly away. I miss ya, buddy.
Craig Carnelia's "Flight" is my #1 song, Eric Clapton, Sting, December Songs, Harry and the Potters, Jenn Grinels, Josh Groban, Apocalyptica, Ben Folds, The Light in the Piazza, Sharon Taylor, Lauren Kennedy, Jim Brickman, Floyd Collins, the Amélie soundtrack, my brother and his guitar/mandolin, Manheim Steamroller, etc. And for the pianist in me: Rachmaninoff and Debussy all around, specifically "Gardens in the Rain" and Rach's Prelude in G minor. Amazing, I say.
Passion (by Sondheim), and all those mockumentaries. (specifically Spinal Tap, Drop Dead Gorgeous, and Best in Show). Also...Casblanca and Notorious.
LOST, Upstairs Downstairs, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, MythBusters, Mystery Science Theater 3000. Generally, the BBC is a good choice.
I read a lot of plays. But I also like Cars and Trucks and Things that Go, And Then There Were None, Go Dog Go, The Stanislavsky Trilogy, Dylan Thomas, Dracula, The Great Gatsby, Anna Karenina, Curious George, Harry Potter, Remains of the Day, etc. You know, all that AP English stuff....except Jane Eyre. Jane Eyre is like Jane Austen for ugly people.
The incomparable Kyle DallaTorre. Svetlana Efremova. KIRBY WARD, Meg, Fosca, Captain Morgan, Miss Rita, Roy, the makers of Burt's Bees chapstick.
