Modern Heads

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace) Modern Heads is a collaboration between Dino Sabatini and Gianluca Meloni - musicians, dj-producers and live performers with many year's experience gained in both the jazz and electronic music scene. Their influences are diverse, ranging from the Chemical Brother's "big beat" to Miles Davis' jazz rock. In 2003 the Modern Heads began collaborating and performing with Antonello Salis, an internationally known jazz piano and accordion player. Over this period performing on the jazz circuit, the Modern Heads became increasingly interested in electronic music and the process of combining creativity with technology. Being skilled at creating music from both an analogue and digital perspective, Modern Heads were soon able to bring the expressive potential of electronic music into play, and their first EP -the minimal techno masterpiece "Pathology" - was released on Elettronica Romana (distributed by Kompakt). Charted by many top DJs including the legendary Claudio Coccoluto, the track was also licensed to the Time Warp 2006 compilation mixed by Tiefschwarz. Their subsequent releases on Elettronica Romana were equally well received - namely Paper Toys EP and a collaboration with the roman DJ Rossella. Out next in February 2007 is "Gliding" featuring a remix by Pig & Dan (Cocoon) on the newly founded label Meadow Lark, and an EP produced alongside the DJ/producer Donato Dozzy on his own imprint, Dozzy Records(out March 2007 and distributed by Neuton). The Modern Heads have also made an impact on the scene thanks to their unique live performances, rocking dancefloors with synths and sequencers.
