About Me

BIOWinston ?Danger? Hall hails from Kingston, Jamaica. living @ 22 Brentford Rd, Kingston 5, directly across the street from the legendary Studio One where he learned to appreciate the music of his native land, Reggae. Many of his favorite reggae superstars from childhood and his teen years were the great legend Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Dennis Brown, and Beres Hammond just to name a few. Danger moved to Brooklyn, New York 1991 where his musical influences were now accompanied by a new generation of American artists. Danger was now introduced to a vibrant, powerful urban sound, Hip-Hop.Danger returned to his native land Jamaica in 1994 where he developed a passion for dancehall music. By this time Dancehall music was well established and some of Danger?s favorite performers included Buju Banton, Mega Banton, Terro Fabulous, Mad Cobra, Bounty Killa, Capelton, Beenie Man and others who transcended Dancehall music with their unforgettable lyrics and extraordinary delivery. The dancehall scene was dynamic and it had a significant impact on Danger, he was quickly drawn in to the appeal to be a crowd pleaser like some of the most entertaining dancehall MC?s.Some of Danger?s earliest influences in the dancehall scene were Tony Mattheron, Jagga B. of Afrique Sound, and Rory of Stone Love Sound, who are legends on the dancehall scene and still move the crowd with their distinctive style of MCing.Danger returned to Brooklyn, New York in 1996 inspired and determined to make a name for himself on the music scene, namely dancehall. Danger began perfecting his MC style, moving and hyping crowds of dancehall/reggae fans by selecting tunes and commanding the mic with Dancehall, reggae, hip-hop, R&B, classic soul, Disco, and Soca. He joined a sound, Natural Vibes in 1998. Danger dominated the microphone, spitting sometimes controversial banter over the hottest reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop tracks.Danger?s resume is impressive and includes performing with some of today?s hottest Jamaican artist.? He?s played at Capelton?s Birthday Bash in his homeland Jamaica in 2004? Accompanied Wayne Wonder on his US tour in 2004.? Was featured in the Sean Paul/ Busta Ryhmes remix video of ?Make it Clap?.? Assisted with the promotion of Damian Jr. Gong?s grammy winning album ?Welcome to Jamrock?, while performing at the Labor Day Parade in Brooklyn, NY 2005.He was featured in ?Time Out New York? magazine in an April 2005 issue. He was recognized for his awesome performance in the sound clash against Mighty Crown of Japan, in which he emerged victoriously.Danger resume is extensive as he?s played in some arenas those mere mortals that call themselves Dance hall MC?s would dare not compete. Danger played along side Natural Vibes in the 2000 and 2001 Labor Day Caribbean Festival in Brooklyn, New York. In 2002 Danger parted ways with Natural Vibes and was aggressively sought by LP International Sound in 2003, where he played across the country and across the pond in London, England. Danger has participated in several memorable sound clashes while he was a part of LP Int?l sound he won rave reviews and took home top honors, even taking home the distinguished dancehall MC for the year 2003 and 2004 in New York.
