Music:
Where do I start? Beastie Boys, 311, Led Zepplin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Pantera, Weezer, The Locust, Metallica, Cypress Hill, Deftones, The Zombies, Rage Against The Machine, Sublime, Heiroglyphics, Cream, Necro, The Doors, A Band of Bees, (Hed) PE, Beach Boys, Aereogramme, Stevie Ray Vaughn, CkY, Automator, Descendants, Tool, Strung Out, System of a Down, Lagwagon, Red House Painters, Primus, Chili Peppers, Misfits, Of Montreal, Biggie, Abilene, Pedro The Lion, Nirvana, Lamb of God, Korn, King Crimson, Mr. Bungle, Jack Johnson, Modest Mouse, Dial 7, Jedi Mind Tricks, The Roots, MF Doom, Zebrahead, Mason Jennings, ARLO, Elliot Smith, Fishbone, Dillinger Escape Plan, Slipknot, Between The Buried and Me, Suffocation, Radiohead, Fifteen, KMD, Pharcyde, Soulfly, Jack Johnson, The Black Dahlia Murder, Hendrix, DJ Quick, Megadeath, Orange 9mm, Meshuggah......I could go on forever but I will stop now. Basically, I like any king of music on the planet except Country, Opera, and New Wave/80's bullshit.
Movies:
Snach, Boogie Nights, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Billy Madison, Magnolia.........blah, blah, I don't really feel like writing them all out. Everyone has different tastes in movies so I won't waste my time. Just let me say this. Anything directed by Michael Bay is bullshit (stupid gay summer blockbusters (Pearl Harbor, Transformers, Armageddon) in particular). They are insulting to our intelligence so don't watch them.
Television:
Watch these shows and your friends will be astounded by your brilliant new sense of humor: The Simpsons, Family Guy, Chappelle's Show, Reno 911, Curb Your Enthusiam, Mr. Show with Bob & David, Da Ali G Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, South Park, Most Extreme Elimination Challenge, The Office, Extras.I watch mostly comedy shows but do like a couple serious shows: Sopranos, Sportscenter, The O'Reilly Factor.
Books:
I honestly don't read that many books. But once in a while, one will really catch my attention and I will finish it in a week. I never read fiction which is something I'm trying to change. All the books I read have to do with Music, Politics, and Religion. I just finished reading Anthony Keidis' autobiography and before that I read The Da Vinci Code. They were both real good. My all-time favorite book is Bo Jackson's autobiography.
Heroes:
Wow, this is hard. Obviously the musicians that I look up to. And obviously Jesus, but there is a group of people that I have always admired in the back of my head and that is the World War II generation, including my grandpa, who are rapidly dying out right now. Those people were fucking hardcore. Their whole life was centered around supporting their family and that's all they cared about. They put their well-being second to the people they loved, and that is fucking cool to me. Look at us kids today. We are fucking pussies. We bitch if the line at the Del Taco drive-thru is too long. Anyway, I respect them. OK, I'm done with my rant now.
