TRANSAUDIO'S DYING STAR REVIEW @ IS THIS MUSIC clickhere
Formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 1998, Transaudio's first release was the 'Uncut' e.p. - 4 tracks recorded at Chemikal Underground's Chem19 studios. However, it was their next recorded track, 'Comedown' which showed the band's future direction, creating a hybrid of electro and indie-rock that was years ahead of the pack. The band's confidence was consolidated with AT-XS. Featuring 'Another Time', this e.p. was recorded at Snow Patrol's Diving Bell studio. and the airplay received boosted the band's profile.
As a diversion, the band were only too happy to participate in a tribute album for Scottish vocalist Frankie Miller, They recorded their own adrenline-fuelled version of Frankie's 'Danger Danger', joined by ex-Thin Lizzy and Motorhead guitarist Brian Robertson, which they later performed as part of an all-star line-up gig at the Barrowland Ballroom.
By the end of 2002, after two years of constant gigging throughout the UK, sharing stages with Fish, Brian Robertson, Joe Walsh (Eagles), Cosmic Rough Riders, Dogs Die In Hot Cars, Ed Harcourt, Campag Velocet and hundreds more, the band decided it was time to clear the decks and start afresh.
Many months were put into writing a full set of brand new material, with the band re-emerging on the live scene at Glasgow's Cathouse in November 2003. Since then the band have released their finest material to date, notably 'Frequencies' (produced by DJ Colin Tevendale) and more recently 'Reset Zero'.
Whilst continuing their unique take on electro-rock, the band diversified in 2006 - reinterpreting their back-catalogue acoustically, allowing some relaxed and more intimate appearances. With a Kaisho DJs dance remix of 'Reset Zero' almost completed, and the recording of new single 'Dying Star' 2007 promised to be the busiest and most successful year yet for the band.
As for 2008 ,two new recorded tracks"shes got your soul" and "visions" will appear on the Ten years album due for release in April with a tour to support the album's release.
