Most people are other people

About Me

There are too many corners in my mind, and too many things to laugh at. I work, I play, I try to strike a balance... and fail, but I'm hoping and learning all the time. I work in a record store and I also run a series of music nights in South London. I like pictures, warm toast and marmite and dipping my toes into the ocean. Most people are other people, I'm really not.

My Interests

Music will always be the word that starts the list. My friends will always be a necessity. I like conversations that either make a small amount of pee escape or the type that last until 4.37am.

I'd like to meet:

People with their brains switched on, with the ability to goof out and be intense all at the same time. In terms of idols, there's a few some for some reasons, some for others....View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

Music:

Guitars. They're bringing sexy back.

Movies:

Staples include Eternal Sunshine, Amelie, Garden State, Fight Club, all Hayao Miyazaki films, all 80's classics and the forces that guide Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. I have a soft spot for Jennifer Aniston too.. not quite sure what that defines me as.

Television:

Family Guy, The O.C (purely for the joy of Chrismukkah), 24, Smallville, Dawson's Creek, Huff, Heroes, My Name is Earl, One Tree Hill, Dexter.

Books:

Currently reading 'Molecules of Emotion'.

Heroes:

Hero is a big, broad word.. I have people that inspire, but no heroes.

My Blog

Music makes the world go around, and around.

It's strange how the blogsphere works, I'm not sure what pushes me into writing something down - today is one of those days. I've decided to change the track on my myspace to a song I've recently fal...

Have you ever?

I wonder how many of my answers would be yes, today. Am thinking about 'what could have been's' tonight, possibly because I'm tired, but it's still a little terrifying any which way you cut it that a ...

Rain

It's almost been a year since my last post into cyper-space, but it's by reading someone else's thoughts that has brought me to these sentences. It's strange how such a simple collection of lines can ...

Goof Out Bitches.

I wish, so much, that things didn't get so lost in translation at times. How the very second the breath leaves your body when you laugh, is the end of that laugh no matter how many times you press rep...

Questions, questions, questions. Full Stop.

I wonder how much open-heart surgery (of the metaphorical kind) you can actually perform through this oh-so-popular medium. I've got a lot to say, I know that much but where to say it? Sometimes ...

A proverb, sort of.

I laughed when I found this, then stopped to think about it, and laughed a little less hard because it's just so... fucking... true.   "Son, someday you will make a girl very happy, for a sh...

The hunt continues..

Hmm. This is interesting. I'm in debt, without a job.. with no sign of a job even as a dot on the horizon. I'm looking at fonts for my CV which I believe is a most producitve use of my time, of c...

Captured.

Sometimes words are simply unable to wind comfortably around a feeling as raw as this, which leaves me lacking. What could I say? I`m free, yes. I`m learning, yes. I`m happy, yes. It`s ...

Shall I?

I`m thinking about getting a tattoo. An expression that will link to the freedom of this trip and something that holds up for years to come. How do you work that? Something that will m...
