About Me

Hi there... thanx for stopping by. Here is my page where you find all things Craig, and other general gubbin's as well. My name is Craig Mitchell, I'm 27 and I live in Clapham, South London where I work as a musician. I teach in the day time (....guitars....saxophone...singing....songwriting...) and gig in the night time as a solo song artist/writer and with my band Adelphi Rhode.
One amazing thing thats has happened to me in the last year was last september when myself and 4 others broke the world record for the 'Worlds longest gig' 43.5hours non stop playing! After singing and playing guitar for nearly two days i had no more vioce my fingers really bloodey hurt! Very good fun though and well done to all involved.
Also -as some of you will know I am the founder and one of the integral members of the Acoustic Lounge - one of London's finest and up-and-coming live music clubs. We have now assembled a fantasic, all star, hard working team that share my passion for this live performance project, and I'm proud to be working with them all. I LOVE LIVE music. I think there is nothing better on this planet than watching a live band. It's about being organic. When you see a live show, what will happen in that moment will only happen once. And what can happen in that moment is full of possibility and is a very special thing. Having played for a number of years, I find that even songs that you have been doing for ages can still surprise you. Something totally unusual will come from an audience when you least expect it. I have written some funny examples in the blogs above, and this is the reason that I'm part of this music scene. Live performance is exciting, thrilling and a massive rush when you are part of something trully amazing. This is what I aim to create on stage, and am honoured when I am part of the audience.
If you have a chance please come and check out our club acousticlounge.co.uk or check my gig listings and come and say hi to me. If you like it LIVE them im sure we would have a lot in common. Craig X

Imagine if you will a traveller going through Indie-ville for a couple of days of handbangin' and the Razz...then after hitching a lift to Samba town for more days of carnival, party and the sauce....then happening to stumble drunkly across a hippie village (somewhere like Totnes, Devon UK) and smoking himself into oblivion around a campfire........when he wakes up....this is what he'd put on to sooth his aching head.
