About Me

Hello there! The name is Samantha. This is my MySpace page. I would like to thank anyone who takes the time to check it out, it really makes my life much more meaningful. XD
Recent high school graduate. New Yorker - born and raised in Queens, will soon be moving to Manhattan to attend college. My future is very much undecided, but that doesn't mean I lack direction or motivation. I am of mixed heritage and do not appreciate your racist remarks, so keep them to yourself and no one gets hurt. ^_^
Open-minded. Dedicated sometimes to the point of tenacity. Perfectionist. Brutally honest. Friendly. Approachable. Sense of humor, but knows when to be serious. Will see through your facade. Busy. Two sides of the same coin - can be shy and quiet, or loud and boisterous, depending on how you catch me. Level-headed. Short, but can rock out with the best of them. Appreciative of those who do not take themselves too seriously. Caffeine junkie. Fiercely loyal to friends and family. Geek. Easily amused. Etc.
Fluent in English, currently studying Chinese and Japanese. Have studied, and can understand, a bit of German (hoping to continue my studies) - have also studied Spanish, but cannot understand it for my life and have no confidence in it whatsoever. XD
Ongaku to wa... Music is one of the biggest - if not the biggest - parts of my life. More than anything else, it shapes who I am and who I have become. While I do listen to a lot of Japanese music, I do not just limit myself to J-rock. I am first and foremost a metal fan, and also favor industrial, techno, old-school punk, classic rock, alternative, goth, new wave, darkwave, even some pop and old-school rap. My musical tastes are very diverse, and I will listen to just about anything once.
LOYAL. Gee, is it any surprise I'm a big Criss Angel fan? XD Yes, I've been following his career since the one-hour Mindfreak special on ABCFamily. LOYAL PRIDE: 2002 - on...
Because you haven't lived until you've heard this song live (thank you, Dir en grey)...

Well, naturally Criss Angel tops the list. Even though I have had the good fortune of being able to meet him on several occasions, it never feels like enough, lol!

Other than that... anyone who holds my interest. Artists. Musicians. Those who inspire me. People who are true to themselves. Anyone who's cool. Anyone, really. I'm a friendly person and love meeting new people. ^_^

Heroes:

Hnn. Never cared much for the idea of "heroes" or "idols," to be honest. o_O That doesn't mean there aren't people who I love, admire, and hold in the highest of regards, though:
My mother. My family. Közi. The guys of The Candy Spooky Theater; the guys of Dir en grey. Cristina Scabbia. Criss Angel and his family.
Ultimately, I respect those who live their lives unafraid. Those who sacrifice so that others may live well. Those who give as much, and as well, as they receive. Those who touch the lives of others, and might not even be aware of it. Those who march to the beat of their own drummer and embrace others for their differences and their similarities. In short, I respect those who are worthy of respect.
