Rebirth has born in 1998 from the ashes of the Black Metal band
Moontears, formed by Pier, Dave, Max (now with Dark Sky) and Tan
(also with Darkness Thy Count).
Their main idea was focused on merging the aggressive Death Metal sound with
classical/medieval music.

In 2000, after many line-up changes the first low budget demo was published.
With "Secrets" the band started to promote itself on the local scene.

December 2000: the band published on the internet the song "Serenade".

In the following year the band had splitted with four of the seven members, due to different point of views on the
future projects of Rebirth. The single "Ossian", recorded on May 2001 was
never released.

In 2003 the band started to play again. The former members (Tan, Dave and Pier) worked
together to build a stable, brand new line-up. After months of auditions and
members changing, Dung (Male Vocals), Sabrina (Female Vocals), Chris
(Guitars) and Mitch (Bass Guitar) joined the band. It's the prelude to
resurrection!

April 2004: the "new" Rebirth recorded "Prelude to Resurrection". The promo
was a remake of old Rebirth songs (Wandering Knight, Serenade and the never realeased before
Pain) and a new song: Under Your Moon. With this demo the band changed
radically the way to play, mixing male and female voices, athmospherical
keyboard and shredding guitars. This new sound was the result of mixing all
the musical culture of the band.

September 2004: Dung left the band. Meanwhile the band started to promote
their songs into the internet and on local magazines.

Although the lack of a male voice, the bands continued the work on new songs.

November 2005: Paco is the new Male voice of Rebirth, the line-up is
complete again!

Today: the band is working on a new promo cd that will be recorded in April.
