AIM - Iam1with1
When I get mad, I get mad articulate.
I am a vigilante. I'm not even kidding. Don't let me catch you victimizing innocents. I'm also a musician so don't let me catch you listening to shitty bubble gum pop radio. I'm not driven. I'm the driver. I have an aversion to cliches. I'm probably much, much taller than you are. I'm proud as hell of some of the comments from friends at the bottom of this page. (MySpace may seem jeuvenile and trivial but when people start using it to speak from the heart it suddenly has weight and significance, so don't knock it. It's a good thing.) I never discuss religion, politics or The Great Pumpkin in public. I'm a nonconformist and so are all of my friends.
I'm not into drinking heavily, getting wild or using the word "party" as a verb.
Jungian Personality Type
INTP - "Architect". Greatest precision in thought and language. Can readily discern contradictions and inconsistencies. The world exists primarily to be understood. 3.3% of total population.
Listen to some of my music on MySpace.
"The power of accurate observation is commonly
called cynicism by those who have not got it."

-George Bernard Shaw
"After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing
the inexpressible is music."

-Aldous Huxley
"I have a policy about honesty and ass-kicking:
If you ask for it, I have to let you have it."

-Taylor Mali
To avoid criticism do nothing, say nothing, be nothing.
-Elbert Hubbard
"I've been told that we're only as sick as our secrets. I like the sound of that. It would make a particularly good bumper sticker here in Southern California. With that in mind I'd like to engage in a little vanity card therapy and reveal one of my deepest, darkest secrets. There've been times when the mere thought of this secret has nearly overwhelmed me with self-loathing. And yet, there've been other times when I actually took a perverse pride in it. So what is this personal bit of esoterica? I've got your attention now, don't I? You probably even skipped ahead to see if this is really juicy. Well, skip no further. My secret is this: I'm not that smart. Yup, there it is, dug up and thrown into the sunlight. Since I was a little kid I've known that (like it or not) there were an awful lot of people who had a lot more on the ball than I did. Oh, believe me, I've tried to suppress this awareness. I've tried to convince myself that I was special, that I was gifted. But I eventually learned that this secret could be my greatest asset. I learned that with enough bright friends even a dim bulb can light up a room. I like the sound of that. With enough bright friends even a dim bulb can light up a room. Someone ought to print that on a bumper sticker and slap it on Air Force One."
-Chuck Lorre
Rosencrantz: Whatever became of the moment when one first knew about death? There must have been one. A moment, in childhood, when it first occured to you that you don't go on forever. Must have been shattering, stamped into one's memory. And yet I can't remember it. It never occured to me at all. We must be born with an intuition of mortality before we know the word for it; before we know that there are words. Out we come, bloodied and squawling, with the knowledge that for all the points of the compass there is only one direction and time is its only measure.
-When you quote an actor in a movie do you credit the actor or the writer? Anyway that was Gary Oldman in a movie based on a play by Tom Stoppard...

My Interests

Copy the code below to get Keenan's banner on your page.

Kung Fu Chess! I'm into music more than anything else. I play bass guitar and Native American flute, and soon I intend to become a harpist and play music that sounds like this . Besides music I'm interested in many, many things that I won't try to list now, but if you're curious just ask. I know a little bit about a lot of different things...

Harpo Marx
original rock star

I'd like to meet:

Ana M. Vargas, so I could tell her I'm sorry.

And Cassandra Milligan, so she could tell me she's sorry.

This is Rocky. She is a pet raccoon. Before I met Rocky I didn't know you could have a pet raccoon, but now it's one of my life goals.

Music:

"Would you like to show the world how stupid you are? It's very simple: Just open up your mouth and speak. Convince yourself that you won't die some day and act accordingly. Pretend that you know or have access to all the knowledge that you will ever need. Accept societally induced limits on your consciousness. Try to make it in the New York City music scene."

Burt Rutan - designer of Space Ship One, the first manned private space craft.

Chuck Lorre - Writer of sitcoms and author of the vanity cards that appear momentarily at the end of each episode of Dharma and Greg. Brilliant.

Discomfort

My mom just informed me that in some parts of the country a "sausage fest" is a party where there are too many guys, not enough women. This reminds me of the time I told my parents that my new band wa...

What about honor???

If you go to a full-serve gas station and ask for $4.00 worth of fuel, and the attendant misunderstands and pumps $40.00, what do you do? I say you pay the man if you possibly can and accept his ap...

Shadows

4:15 this morning I took a little walk to 7-11. It was cold and the sky was big, as big as it's ever likely to get in Selden. I've seen bigger skies, but not so close to any city or strip mall. As I p...
